Please friends, I have been going through alot of anxiety lately due to lack of understanding of what to do after school... Presently, I am a sure 2.1 candidate. I see myself graduating with 3.70 CGPA and above. I really want my school to retain me as a graduate lecturer... Where do I start from? Meeting the Vice Chancellor, Registrar or famous Professors? Help

If you graduate with a first class, it'll be easier. Quite a number of universities retain their first class products (students).
A very strong 2.1 with some connection or recommendations from 'oga's at the top' might do also.
Goodluck!

Are you research inclined? Do you have passion for scholarship? We need scholars than lecturers... If you want to be retained, start showing working. Identify your areas of interest and commence writing and reviewing. If you can boast of atleast 10 articles before completing your service year, I'm sure the task of convincing your institution to retain you will be easier.

Bro..it is not that easy!!..you need appended result,God grace and favour.even if you have first class,it does not guaranty anything...each departments has quotas of GA they can get when recruiting and they don't recruit every year..so you have to pray they are recruiting first. Secondly ,try and move close to these professors, and lastly, just pray for favour, who says lecturing is where your future lies,it might be oil companies, tech or politics..pray for guidance!!!

Get a first class n u take it from there but dt doesn't guarantee anything nw but dt puts u in strong position for graduate assistant position.

Even a PhD graduate in ur Dept can't be guaranteed of a job as lecturer.

Finally if ur father is a frnd to d Governor then jst a letter frm d Governor can give u a job with ur 2.1 if u doubt me ask d corper dt met fayose n got a job in one college of education.
