exactly. .this has happened to me. .My bank made a mistake n immediately corrected it..the account officer called to apologize. .it is really not a big deal

I don't know what is the big deal here, this is what any normal human should do except if you're a criminal. And besides the bank got her details and address she can be easily traced and arrested, so she has no choice than to refund the rightful owner back his money.
To me she had done nothing exceptionally. Just attention seeking...

Guy, pray to God that you never fall into this kind of problem. Most banks will NOT reveal the details of the person into whose account, the money was transferred. It would take time, effort, arguments, court orders and all kinds of legal arm-twisting to get the bank to refund the money. Do you know how many people have been victims of scams and when they called on the banks, to help them get their money back, the bank officials turned a blind eye and deaf ears to their pleas?

In a sane society, what she has done is not exceptional. But in Nigeria, where yahoo-yahoo, 419 and all kinds of tricks have been ruling the airwaves, she deserves a commendation. Her parents did a good job, instilling the right virtues into her. They brought her up well.

Not all the victims could confidently say that they got their money back. Not all the beneficiaries of such costly mistake were arrested. A criminally minded person would take the risks not minding the consequences. To me, she did something exceptionally.
And if you want to find out, just make that kind of mistake. You won't get your money back, though the beneficiary may be charged to court.
