I intend taking up a masters degree program to improve my market value. I'm wondering which one will pay me, having an academic masters degree (and possibly end up a university lecturer) or having a masters in public health and ending up in the field. Please I will appreciate your kind inputs. Thanks a lot.

Without asking you anything, I could easily say, "Go for MPH- Masters in public health" but thing is I still have to ask.... what biomedical/Health sciences field are you studying?

And what do you really want to do with your life for the next 30-45 yrs...

Do you just want a masters' path to a job that pays all the bills, and make you comfortable?
Nothing more?

Or

Do you want a masters' path to a job that does all that the first question says but adds actual Fulfillment and value to it?

Which do you prefer? to enter a field based on just financial reasons and make good fortune but still leave this "Yearning for that dream/target" and "gaping hole for fulfillment" wide open in you? Or you wanna roll into a field where your passion is included in your financial motivation?

Now "this part" is all up to you....
Very critical in the long run.

But to your question... I have already answered... MPH it is... but it would be nice and better to let us know what your first degree course field is....

Thanks a lot sir. I studied Medical Laboratory Science in my first degree. I will have more career fulfillment in when I'm into research. I want to solve problems and make discoveries before I die.
