I'm not sure this Breed will thrive on anything other than pure dog food ie jojo, predigree, Arion and the likes!

What do you currently feed him?

I will assume such a dog is just catching some fun... I doubt if there could be any need to correct as it were! Probably will outgrow it

Please to make this thread more active let cultivate the hobbit of posting our pets pic! This make it more interesting thanks!

Oops! Do I mention that this morning when I was bathing for my baby Tasha! Saw a wound on her leg, (don't know how or when she got injured but my guess is my adult dog might av used his sharp teeth to wound her) so I pressed the wound out and guess what a maggot came out of it! Like a big one** mhen was shocked!! Like very very shocked. Immediately I picked up my anti thick spray and stay all ready body!

That's probably a bot fly! Check for lumps around her body, it may be more! Then use disinfectant on the wound area and clean her cage with bleach

So sorry to hear that!

Describe thier symptoms here someone might be able to help!

What area are you someone may have an experienced vet to recommend!

I can only advice that you keep them as rehydrated as possible! Literally feed them the water or milk/ glucose even if with a syringe.

Keep us posted

He's cute wink

I assume you leave the chicken and himself too to roam about!
It's somewhat natural instinct for him to chase the chicken..... See if you can set up barriers/ barricade to separate thier areas (if you get me!

Check you tube as well you may fine one or two helpful training videos

Good luck

Tie him down, rope his mouth and use the chickens peck to knack his head multiple times until he starts to make whining sounds...

Note ::: do not stop until you hear that sound

Drag him to the dead lizard and flog him...
Never flog your dog, please and please you end up having a dog who get scared with the rising of hands by stranger or anyone...in the aspect of killing lizard, c'nom dogs are sensitive to any little prey and will always attack..you should use that as an advatage by using that as a means of traininh him to attack anythinh once you ask him/she too...but if you can not do that and wants him to stop the lizard killing..once he/she does that take the dog to point where the lizard lays and sniff the nose, tap your finger on the mouth..and tell him don't do that, is bad, and try to annoy the dog at that moment no play or cuddling ..trust me by the time you do this for few times he will get the message and stop floging your dog you will give him away to stranger..

This thread is open to everyone who has recently acquired a dog! The idea is for us to exchange tips and well as get valuable advice from the pros in raising our canines to be the best they can be!

It'll help reduce the no of threads being opened to randomly ask one question!

Hopefully we will have the older dog owners happy to share bits of advice and guides to caring for our "little ones"

I've got two dogs again! Recently acquired a four weeks old Caucasian/German shepherd in addition to my half rott/half German shepherd. will put up pictures as soon as I can!

For starters how best can one manage ticks in a dog?

Any nutrition tips to be shared? Considering the state of the economy how can one still feed the dogs well but save on costs?

Cheers everyone!
First of all, buying a four week old puppy isn't advisable. But u have, so no need to cry when d head is off. In any case, I'll b glad to b part of this thread. I Love it when dogs owners come together to share things that'll improve our k9 friends' existence

One of my dogs has
Suddenly picked an interest in killing lizards! I find it very disturbing as well as a nuisance! Is there anything i can do to stop it?

If it's a young dog, it's a normal thing, still young and exploring, responding to everything moving so also with curiosity.
