Just got myself an xbox 360 console and it has been jailbroken with freestyle dashboard installed. I've only 3 game titles installed on the 40gb hard drive and the thing done full up, I wish to expand the storage with an external HD but I'm finding it difficult to get my xbox to detect it, I've formatted it to fat32 still nothing. Pls guys m lost here and totally new in the xbox community, I need to ve my console running games right from the exHD in no time.

What's the size of the external hdd & what tool did you use to format the drive, also is it the hdd that's not being detected or is it the games you put on the external?

thanks bro I appreciate, I used windows default format utility but I've gotten passed that level now . I went tinkering into the settings and found the default storage location path. I added extra directory of my exHD game folder to it, changed the scan depth, ticked xbox 360 games both sides and I was blazing. I was pushed to the wall by this section twas really frustrating though

I suspected it was the game path that was off, glad you were able to find the solution........Enjoy!

i too would need it bro? So how do you get games on your external hard disk ? You download or copy it from PC? And how did you get the Xbox to start reading games directly from the external hard disk? Would it affect games already installed on the xbox 360?

On your PC
I download most of my games from this link https://downloadgamexbox.com.
Get a FAT32(anything other than this format won't work) formated exHD of any size.
Download the game ISO file and extract the content
Create a folder on the main root of Ur exHD and name it "Game"
Put every xbox game in that folder.

On your xbox 360(running freestyle dashboard)
Plug in the exHD and wait till its detected by the console
Go to setup=settings =content settings =manage game path=
U will see the default game path, leave those intact!!!
Create another path by pressing the Y button
Click on the change path
Select Ur exHD(usb0 depending)
Enter the "Game" folder and press Y button
Go back to manage game paths
Change the scan depth to 2
Select xbox 360 on both Retail and Devkit
Press X to save
Restart Ur console
Ure good to go

For Ur questions
Playing games on exHD won't affect the ones already on the console(thats why u don't need to tamper with the default game paths) instead twill add more games to Ur library

I don't knw everything BT I for one HV tonnes of games to give. Sholz too if he's in the Lagos area. Am based up north. Some games are heavy as 16gb. Hw many sims over Hw many days will he spend getting a game?

i really don't know how to thank you enough bro. Thank you, please one last question , do you use any software to extract the ISO games into the games folder you created on your external drive or just normal winrar or winzip copying ? And do you have any very interesting games suggestions?

nope it's quite different from the regular extractor tools, search for XISO Extract in Google. it's just 95kb file. Cheers

U cant find what u need in every vendor u know, most times they stick to games in demand. I download rear games and atimes I do exchange with those vendors sef.

iso... Extracted and yet it didnt work. (2 seperate iso) 1 torrent download and 1 directdownload

Had a similar problem. I converted to god instead of xex. Use iso2god to convert it and drop in the content folder of ur HDD. Ur using fsd I hope
