APC primaries turn bloody in Lagos, commercial motorcyclists operator’s chairman dies

Councillorship primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has consumed life of Chairman of Motorcycle Operators Association of Nigeria, Lagos State (MOALS), branch as he was shot dead in the fracas that broke out.

Rasaq Bello, popularly known as Hamburger, was killed on Monday during the councillorship primaries of APC held at Shogunle-Oshodi. Bello was a member of the Lagos chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).

He was allegedly shot dead by members of a rival gang said to have been led by Samson Agbetoye, with his nick-name as Golden. It was gathered that Golden belongs to the MC Olumo faction of the NURTW in the state.

According to eyewitness, Bello was a torn in the flesh of Agbetoye camp and other mafia gangs were also afraid of him. “Hamburger was seen as a threat to some kingpins within the NURTW in the state as the chairman of Motorcycle Operators Association Lagos State”, the eye witness said.
