Money Fraud in Gtbank -- Will not Return my Money After Six Months by Nobody: 1:52pm On May 30, 2017
Gtbank has failed to refund my money that was trapped in a dispense error for the last six months.

The Genesis

It all started on December 24, 2016, when I lost my ATM card. I quickly put in a request for a new card. However, a few days later, I needed cash so I logged into my internet banking portal and made use of QUICKTELLER PAYCODE CARDLESS WITHDRAWAL. I also attempted to pay my Ikeja Electric bill from the platform but that didn't work. I was debited but didn't receive electricity token to load my prepaid metre with.

I finished the cardless transaction on the portal and then immediately got a text message with the Paycode transaction details specifically instructing me to "go to any bank's Atm" to withdraw the cash. picture one attached

I made my way to the Fidelity bank ATM closeby and attempted to withdraw the money. The machine accepted the code, but then -- perhaps because of a network glitch -- did not give me the N15k cash.

I quickly called Gtconnect to complain about the two failed transactions. The agent I spoke with promised to work on the failed N3k electricity payment but told me he couldn't help with the N15k dispense error because of a reason I can't readily recall now. I then sent an email to Gt complaints about the issue. I did not receive any response on the N15k for two days. Then I sent in another round of emails to several Gtbank email handles because there happen to be a number of them dealing with complaints. I did get a response after two days (picture two attached)

I got a response some days later that the issue had been received and logged but everything became quiet thereafter. I went to the Gtbank closest to me and tried to lay a complaint. The queue was too long... terrifyingly long. I pulled out my phone and called Gtconnect again. I was put through to an agent who I explained the issue to. He promised me he was going to create a ticket on it so that the unit in charge can begin working on reversal. I informed him I was actually in the bank trying to fill a form, he said there was no need for that because he had already created a ticket on the issue. He then went ahead to tell me not to worry about filling out a form. He gave me 48hrs for reversal.

After two weeks when I did not hear anything, I called Gtconnect again for feedback on the issue, the agent I spoke with said there was no record of any complaint made on the issue. He then proceeded to tell me to go to a branch to fill out a dispense error form.

Very strange. I went to the Gtbank closest to me, Akowonjo, and filled out a form. The lady who helped me with the process said it would take five business days to resolve the issue. After ten days, no money, no feedback, nothing.

I sort of let the issue lie low thinking perhaps they needed more time.

On the 23rd of March, 2017, I went online and began chatting with their agents. They turned to be all liars. 10 of them promised to follow up on the issue and give me feedback either by calling me or via email, none of them did. They were all liars, had no interest in reaching out to the resolution team to help me get my money back.

March passed and there was no money. Each time I chatted or called them they would tell me that they were waiting for feedback from the unit in charge. April came and went, they were still waiting for feedback from the unit.

In May, I reached out to Gtbank once more and demanded to know what was going on, they told me they were waiting for feedback from the unit in charge. I was mad! I asked them if the unit was in New York city and the only way to reach them was by canoe from Nigeria to America.

Monday, May 22, 2017, I called in again and began complained bitterly to the woman I spoke with, while on the phone, she said I should hold on so she could speak with a superior, she came back to the call shortly and promised that come rain come shine, the money would be returned on Wednesday 25th May before the close of business. The money was not reversed.

Till today, I haven't gotten my money back, Everyone I call at Gtbank say that are waiting for feedback from the unit in charge. I don't understand anymore. I am even tired of chasing the money by myself. I am going to let them keep the money for as long as they can while I meticulously arrange all the evidence of fraud that I have gathered.

My cousin, a lawyer, is seriously praying that this money exceeds the 8 month mark, then we would have a clear intent to defraud by Gtbank.

I don't know what he wants to do, but my guess is that a huge lawsuit is coming the way of this bank filled with reprobate liars and crooks. Somebody somewhere has eaten my money but Gtbank will pay for this fraudulent action big time.

All we pray for is to get a sympathetic judge when this finally goes to court. For the emotional stress that I have been subjected to alone, I will seek enough compensation to cover it. I am so done with the bank.

As I type this, I am in the banking hall of one of their branches trying to close my account but the manager is still preaching on why I need to keep the account. I've repeatedly told her she's talking bullshit and to let me finish my objective.

Gtbank has become a disorganized mess that will soon implode upon itself in due time. But before they go burst, they will pay big time for defrauding me of my 15k
