Many southerners in their bid to antagonise the north will say all type of baloney in their bid to join the northern Nigeria bashing club.

Many are doing so out of ignorance or perhaps like sticking their head in the sand pretending to see willful ignorance.

The north has so many potential to explore in the event of the eventuality.

As for now, we choose to be the underdog and the punching bag of you southerners.

God bless Nigeria! Lets make Nigeria great again by exploring what unite us not divide us.

Very funny. You are rich and have resources and you are saving it and exploring the South's ? That means your resources are limited. That mentality alone is poverty mentality. That is what we mean by being poor.

Checked out your blog it's good. Yeah potential is nothing without matching drive to exploit resources in ground. It doesn't mean anything till its brought to market. With right policy the potential will turn to riches.

I use Bauchi as an example the had wiki warm spreads for ever but it's only now they are thinking off a spa. The only have lots of mining potential but it just now being looked into deeply. Recently the went to China to secure huge PPP.

Solid minerals country-wide have not been exploited for 2 main reasons;

1. Lack of purposeful and visionary leadership.

2. Over-reliance on easy money from oil.

However the North for the first time since military rule has been blessed with visionaries as leaders in the likes of Governors Bagudo (of LaKe Rice fame), El-rufai, Tambuwal, Ganduje et al. that are determined to develop and exploit the region's agricultural and solid minerals potential, and the results are already trickling in (significantly improved IGR and sterling initiatives), coupled with another visionary at the helm of the solid minerals Ministry (Fayemi) who has rolled out a solid minerals development masterplan.

Ceteris Paribus, an era of great prosperity beckons.

No one is saving anything, the south itself has not exploited its resources apart from oil which the FG has focused on; by your assertion you are stating that the entire country suffers from a poverty mentality.

Neither have I seen a region with a greater population and wider band of the wealthiest Nigerians than the North.

It's all about perspective.

^^^^^^wealthy Nigerians (Northerners), that stole the Nigerian common wealth blind. Its on good record the North cannot survive without clawing their filthy paws around the corridors of power, the cookie jar. Northerners are the biggest and grandest thieves in Nigeria.

The North is also poor in human capital, infact very very poor. Now thats one huge poor there, lazy both mentally and physically, only good at relying on free government money and patrimony......

Do yourselves a huge favour and stop wallowing in delusion and denial....

How then is it possible for Nigerians to allege that the civil service is dominated by these same northerners? It's not adding up.

I see. 2 questions if you are capable of providing answers.

1. Who makes up the bulk of the political elite in Nigeria (who undeniably make up the wealthiest band of Nigerians in the country)?

2. 3 out of the top 6 richest Nigerians on the Forbes list are northerners...what gives?

North have the highest beggars in Nigeria - fact.
The produces nothing - fact.
They offers almost nothing to Nigerian economy - fact.
They few rich men who don't give a damn about others - fact.
They are mentally poor - fact.
All the draw back of Nigeria is from North - fact.
The North is the most fearful of Nigerian separation - fact!

You don't know what you're saying, no offence.

Are you aware that the NW has now overtaken the SE in revenue generated internally?

Do you know Kano and Kaduna's IGR alone is now more than the entire IGR of the 5 South Eastern states COMBINED?

So which region is now more dependent on FG allocations for survival among these two?

Now you see why I said you made the above statement out of ignorance.

So politics is now a source of wealth creation? The few politicians will have to continue stealing money meant for the populace to continue to entrench poverty there.

What benefit is it to the North having three Forbes billionaires in the midst of 80million people.

Duh? Is it a source of poverty creation before? Be objective this is not about morals.

Think

Of what benefit to the World is it that half of world's wealth is in the hands of 1% of the world population?

Of what benefit is it to the world that the bottom half of the world adult population owns 1% of global wealth?

https://www.theguardian.com/money/2015/oct/13/half-world-wealth-in-hands-population-inequality-report

You see, wealth disparity is a global challenge, not a northern Nigerian one alone.

I understand that some southerners like to air out their frustrations by ignorantly throwing disparaging assertions regarding the North around, but in order to not appear unintelligent its proper to put things in the right perspective.

And I can tell you without any fear of contradiction that a large chunk of the igr emanates from the SEasterners you mentioned, after the fg refused to develop their region which makes a Kano and KD a more attractive destination for business endeavour. So what I'm I saying in effect. that the generated igr ain't a direct effect of the hard or smart work of the Northerners. I'll stop at this for now....

Actually, you are the one that is ignorant because South Eastern state with the highest IGR - Anambra is not listed in your stats so how do you conclude on the the 5 South Eastern states without Anambra? I also don't see Ebonyi generating over 11 billion in 2014 and the slack back to 2 billion in 2016.
Taking a practical approach, the north by far have the poorest people in Nigeria and are the most hungry.

LMAO. Isn't it a shame that Anambra failed to submit it's figures? What are they ashamed of? What are they hiding?

Now look at that table again...

Even if we 'dashed' Anambra N10 billion as IGR, do you know Kano and Kaduna alone is STILL more than your 5 SE states combined?

You guys crack me up grin

The reason predates us all, goes way back in history. The brutish colonialists created an undue advantage in vesting so much powers to the North, politically and militarily, its a well documented and open secret, but trust me, all that nonsense will change for good anytime soon. Watch it as it loads......
