The Igbo army planned a couple to execute the leaders, they cleared top Hausa leaders, and some yorubas too like Ladoke Akintola, they left their own leaders, Agunyi Irosi became head of state. They kept mocking the Hausa leaders they've killed, Agunyi Irosi started installing his own people to positions and the Hausas started retaliating, the agitation continued till Irosi was removed and Gowon became head of state, the strain relationship lead to Biafra agitation that lead to the war.
