Yes you will dominate them if given the chance. Igbos are opportunists

Igbo is the only tribe when they are MD of oil companies and the companies makes plans to move it's HQ to SE, they move it back.

The only tribe when obasanjo sent it's oil producing areas to River state due to its high abundance of oil, till date, they have yet to fight back to gain it back even though the community in question having been asking some 2000 to be sent back to each state they were carved from.

Logically igbo don't seem to faze for oil as if they wanted, they would take advantage of its close proximity to steal it dum dum.

Must confess that my reaction is only to the headline as I didn't watch the video.

But going by the reaction of everyone else who watched it, the headline is correct and if so, Usman Bugaje is a retard and has only demonstrated the real reason why the North is behind in terms of human and infrastructural development.

The leaders are comfy with the rental income that comes from controlling the oil resources via having a grip on the federation. They are too scared, too lacking in vision and desire to see the potential wealth of their region.

It is this kind of talk and mindset that keeps the whole country down in poverty. People like Bugaje are members of APC and PDP but deep down their head, they only belong to Northern Progressives Congress (NPC) and Northern Democratic Party (NDP)!

Where are the Niger delta cry..shebi you don't want Igbos to help you, Oya go and claim ur land back from ur Fulani masters. grin grin..they said is Igbos that need south-south oil and here are the norths already sharing the land grin grin...i pity gullible and ungrateful south-souths that think Biafra is all about their oil, time will come when the north will be claiming every living soul in Nigeria.. Mark my world.. .But not for we Igbos because we know how to roll with them and they also know us too, they know we are always ready anyhow they want it to be packaged fryed, cooked or roasted wink..We will rather reduce both of our population than to see northerns oppress us.. Tufiakwa, Agwo anaghi elo agwo ibeya..

of course we all know that, needless of telling us. the north always 've this mentality of a conqueror. to them nigeria is already a conquered territory. bt i can tell you, the only strength the north 've is the dis-unity of the south. any day the south decides to truly unite, this evil northern hegemony 'll be broken. its the highest form of injustice to claim your own natural resources, as well as the natural resources of other people. if its because of oil they 're holding us down, in this era of high techs, i pray the oil dry fast. okay you 've been controling the oil for the past 50yrs, what 've you to show for it in your region in terms of development?

Once in a while, the northerners go on overdrive and reveal their true colors. But how some Niger Delta people believe that it's the Igbos who want their oil bewilders me. Even when the people who deceive them show their true colors.

I find it hard to believe that some Niger deltans were made to believe that Igbo's will dominate them and their oil and some really believed it.

The reason the minorities in Biafra failed to support Biafra was because of this domination you talk about. And Efik or Ibibio man or even the Ijaw man could not attain any position in Eastern Nigeria government if he wasn't Igbo or spoke Igbo without an accent. Same way the North has dominated the entire Middle belt.

Nope Facebook and Apple are not even Richer than Lagos State alone... Not to talk about about Nigeria or Africa for that matter. How much is Facebook and Apple worth? Dangote and another Rich Nigeria will crush those ones. Oil Money is still more than Facebook etc and that is why the world is still Fighting for Oil till date. That is why the United States is still friendly with Saudi Arabia despite all their human rights abuses

To own a company then one or two Igbo's must be among the board,if not no approval and all development and appointment were solely reserve for Igbo's.

It's the same thing the North Seeks. You think if all of Nigeria's oil magically appears in the North the north will let the south go? NOOOO. They need the sea for easy access to export. So the truth be told, the sea is what both the North and the East want

C) ND states need to be more assertive

More than 90% of oil well in Niger Delta are owned and managed by Northern Billionaires while your people get a bullet for trying to steal a litre from it.

Then your people come to Nairaland to Shout our OYEL

The oil is in actual fact the LEGITIMATE PROPERTY OF THE NORTH.

But don't blame them but blame the Igbos. The Igbos are your problem.
