NLANDERS,
I need expert advice on what to do as regards my car A/C.
The A/C was working perfectly but recently noticed that it wasnt as
chilled as before. I filled the gas about a week ago.
What do i do?

It's always a good idea to have the system checked for leaks.

This is done by evacuating the R134-A remaining, and creating a vacuum. How long has the re-gas taken place?

the re-gas was done about 8 days ago.
Its really surprising that i have never had cause to regas my other vehicle

If the re-charge took place 8 days ago, you must have a major leak.

Creating a vacuum is when the gas is sucked out, and negative pressure is applied to the system. This vacuum is maintained over a set period, usually about 20 minutes, and gauges are monitored. As long as the vacuum is held, the system is gas tight.

Re: Advice On My Car A/c by dbalinga(m): 12:37pm On Feb 17, 2010
yeah,
the technician discovered that there was leakage of oil from the compressor, and at the same time a leak from the elbow that goes into the condenser, it was fixed and the AC is as chilled as ever.
Thank you guys.
