There is massive staff protest currently ongoing at berger paints Nigeria PLC,oba akran avenue,ikrja,Lagos state

This is as a result of mgt not shifting ground on staff gratuity.

Workers are in trouble in this country.Most banks have stopped paying gratuity, now production companies are copying the practice.The future of this country does not lie in low wages and lack of gratuity.Low wages reduce aggregate demand in an economy and this constitutes a drag on economic growth.

Awon Apoda, Dear comrades, I salute your courage and stand by you in rejecting this inhuman oppression from Berger paint management. I only hope it's not too late considering that gratuity was stopped in 2015 and you are just protesting in 2017. I also hope your union executives will not sell out because this is the normal practice by HR directors in Nigeria, they sort out the unionists and the masses suffer. I also hope the management has not arm-twist you guys to sign a new condition of service that has neutralize the initial one that has gratuity as part of your compensation package. Wishing you the best.
