What if Oxygen is actually poisonous but just takes a period of 75-80 years to kill us?

yes! you are correct! the accumulation of free radicals in the body is a by product of using oxygen to fuel metabolism! oxygen is actually a toxic gas. it's just that our cells have developed a means of detoxifying, or should I say counteracting the effects of these free radicals that are essentially derivatives of oxygen. enzymes like superoxide dismutase, catalase and antioxidants present in the diet can effectively neutralise the harmful free radicals that cause cellular damage, cancer, old age and death.

Lies!!! The OP mentioned nothing regarding radicals (e.g. SO3, NO3, PO4, etc), he was referring to Oxygen as a diatomic gas.
