What is the business of Atheist if the Universe Created Itself or if I a Blue Elephant that created it?

Wow. That's a first. The association of nairaland atheists have made an agreement to dodge this question by all means it seems.

The same way I should take you seriously after you say the Big bang resulted in the universe then you say the Flying Spaghetti Monster created the universe? Is that not double standard?

Besides, what's wrong with having an association of like thinkers? It's cool, don't you think?

I remember the time I became spiritually confused and toyed with the idea of Atheism. Glory to God that I eventually stopped at Deism or what I will call Agnostic Theism.

The truth of the matter is that there is a higher reality. It keeps on calling.

To the Atheist out there, do this little experiment for me. Scatter a bed in a room, lock it up and leave it for one year. When the year passes and you open the room, was the bed made? Asin, did the pillow cases react with "Gravity" and cover the pillow? Or did Gravity use the bedsheets on the bed and cover the bed?

The truth of the matter is that when you look at our world and see the wickedness and confusion there in, you are tempted to conclude that there is no God. But the fact is that amidst the "Noise and Manipulations" you see all around us daily, there is a divine hand organising things. Do not allow your soul to be confused.

Again just ask yourself, why is it that the known universe obeys rules always? Because there is no logical explanation for one that obeys rules. Example is ; why is it that a hot tea will eventually become cold? Please don't tell me the heated atoms in it is no longer under pressure. Because thats my question. Why can't it remain hot and refuse to be cold? Or is there a mathematical rule placed by someone out there that made it that hot water will eventually become cold? You answer yourself.

By the way, I have taken out time to watch so many scientific documentaries like; "Cosmos: A Spacetime odyssey, How the Universe works, The Universe etc. I have also read so many scientific journals and books. Funny enough you see keys that lead back to God being denied by scientists in the documentaries.

Eg is Our moon that took close to a million years to for. according to them. First of all without the moons, there will be no Tidal waves. What it implies is that our Oceans will never flow. Want to know the funny part? This our moon is perfectly positioned and orbits our planet in such a way that it creates a perfect tidal wave that does not allow it to over flow the earth!

Please atheists, are you aware that a planet like Jupiter has over 60 moons and yet no life on it. 2 of the moons are Europa and Io. But because of the way they are positioned, they can't create tidal waves for life to suddenly arise! Lol.

How I wish I can borrow any one of you these movies and documentaries. I have it in a hard disk. When you watch what is happening out there and still believe that it is by chance; YOU ARE OWN YOUR OWN.

I said no such thing, all I did was quote Newton view on atheists - that doesn't imply I believe he was infallible. In fact, it's atheists who seem to think scientists who support their views are infallible. They love to quote the opinions of average scientists like neil deGrasse tyson, lawrence krauss etc

Yeah.

All atheist scientists, no matter how great they are, are 'average'

Well maybe cause we have answered the question a million times and now we are tired of doing the same?

One question , just one . Hawking claims that the universe created itself , do you agree with him?
Although I don't like to engaged in discussions like this because I believe religion is very important to keep many people who are potential maniac tame even though it is not doing a perfect job. question is, why is it hard for you believe in a universe without a creator but it is easier for you to believe in a god without a creator.
Now why is it impossible for universe to come to be on it own, but it is possible for a god to come to be on it own.

Now why is it impossible for universe to come to be on it own, but it is possible for a god to come to be on it own.

1. God is eternal , the universe is not and nothing produces nothing (something can't from nothing )

2. God is a necessarily existing and non-contingent entity , the universe is not .

3. God is a mind , the universe is a medley of sensory ideas .

4. God is immutable precluding infinite regress , the universe is susceptible to change (cause-effect )

5. God is a creator , the laws of physics governing the universe do not create anything, they are merely a description of what happens under certain conditions. The logical consequence is to the affirm the existence of a law maker who is also the creator .

6. Consciousness cannot be explained without God .

7. The applicability of mathematics in our physical world can only be explained because of God's existence

There are a thousand and one reasons why it is illogical to even assert the universe has no creator . The universe is not sentient , it is unresponsive , it is not conscious ; how is it then without a creator ?

Where is your evidence to show that the universe is not sentient, unresponsive and not consious. Where is the evidence for this empty assertion?

Still waiting for KingEbukasBlog to provide evidence for his empty assertions.

Isaac Newton: "Atheism is so senseless."

Widely recognised as one of the most influential scientists of all time and a key figure in the scientific revolution. Regarded by many as the greatest scientist to ever lived.

There is no special reason to credit "science" as the source or father of "reason". Take for instance the case of Nazi physicians, a commitment to experiments and evidences does not guarantee immunity to superstition.

Sir Isaac Newton was prey to one of the most ridiculous opinions on Alchemy which at this age not withstanding his reputation as one of the fathers of modern science we still regard those opinions on alchemy to be idiotic.

Joseph Priestly who discovered oxygen, not withstanding his courage in skepticism was a believer in the Phlogiston theory.

Russel Alfred Wallace co-pioneer of the evolutionary theory along with Charles Darwin was a committed attender of spiritualist sessions where "ectoplasm" was produced by fraudulent cheap tricks to the applause of morons.

Even till this day there are still some men of science who still cling to some unsupported superstition or the other, so being a scientific genius doesn't automatically make every of your opinions correct or even any less idiotic if wielded by an average person out there.

U should be informing the atheists here on nairaland on that, they seem to think that. Me quoting newton is a respond to them.

They are the first to rush and quote scientist , when you respond they say another and end up making a fool of themselves . Should we now agree that Stephen Hawking is a genius who just ended up saying something idiotic ?

Exactly...

grin also funny to see how angry and annoyed they get when one quotes a greater scientist than the one they citing.
