The rejection of God's pattern of leadership by Igbo' ministers and Christians in 1978 is the very cause of their current situation and sufferings.
NOTE:The pattern was God's own spiritual constitutional system of leadership for Nigeria and Nigerian christians to take control of the destiny of Nigeria like their American counterparts.
In 1978,A Great and suberb revival broke out in the city of Onitsha.It was so Great like the day of Pentecost That the Holyspirit advertised & communicated to American preachers and missionaries that they flew all the way to onitsha to join the revival.
Prior to that time a team of 24 Igbo ministers were praying and fasting on a mountain and God spoke to them about a PATTERN to come & warned them not to dip their fleshly ideas or will into that Pattern.
The revival team that came to the southeast were Led by a Yoruba man.
When they got to the East God had already spoken to some Igbo big ministers about the Revival and the pattern.

When the pattern came down in the midst of the Yoruba Brethren in that revival the Igbo brethren began to dip their hands into it.
They went behind the Yoruba Brethren after that Revival and they wanted to arrogate the PATTERN and implememt it for themselves alone.
Something that was for the whole Nigeria and was meant to be done in UNITY!!! ,THE IGBO brought tribalism into it.
They conspired against some of their own Minister's like Reverend Mba of Riches of Christs Mission and They Rejected Pa Elton's own confirmation of the God sent Revival and turned it into a YORUBA REVIVAL.
SOMETHING THAT WAS MEANT FOR THE COLLECTIVE UNITY OF NIGERIAN CHRISTIANS WAS REJECTED BY THE EASTERN CHRISTIANS WHEN THE IMPLEMENTATION WAS TO BEGIN.
THE IGBO'S NEVER WANTED TO ACCEPT THAT GOD WHO SPOKE TO THE YORUBA TEAM AND GAVE THEM THE PATTERN WAS THE SAME GOD WHO SAID THE PATTERN SHOULD BE IMPLEMENTED IN UNITY!

IT was a heavenly ordained and hence they went about to begin to question the integrity of APOSTLESAMUEL ADEYEMO the man who was Team leader of the Revival from the western Nigeria.
Satan so much worked among the IGBO people and they Threw the PATTERN away.

True about spiritual unity makes a peoole stronger but just after the war I amvsure there must have been some distrust from the Igbos tiwards the yorubas. They may have seen it as another way of manupulation.
Although I strongly believe that the Igbos have a lot of selfish people anongst them who will seek to benefit to the detriment of their society which is not easily obtainable from the average Fulani/muslim or should I say hausas united by their religion. I will have to study this case extensively to know the mindset and what caused the divide.

it is and was a spiritual case God had intervened because the physical solution which was civil war had failed.Revival is meant for christians and not sinners.what am saying here is that when the revival came down and God spoke to both igbo and yoruba christian leaders that the pattern is his will for Nigerian christians to spiritually control and rule Nigeria whose destiny had now being committed into their hands,they were warned not to take it as a physical thing and not to see it as a tribal soluton.
