'from Osama To Obama': Chilling Message From Al Qaeda Leader Warns U.s. Of More by july123(m): 5:25pm On Jan 24, 2010
Osama bin Laden today warned of further attacks against the U.S. after claiming responsibility for the failed attempt to blow up a plane in Detroit on Christmas Day.

In an audio recording said to have been made by the Al Qaeda leader, Bin Laden said his organisation was behind the plot to kill hundreds of people last month.

Describing his threat as a message 'from Osama to [U.S. president Barack] Obama', he urged the West to stop supporting Israel.

Voice recognition experts were urgently checking the authenticity of the short recording, which was released two days after Britain's security threat was raised to the second highest level.

In the tape, a man claiming to be bin Laden paid tribute to terrorist who tried to blow up a plane as it approached Detroit on December 25.

He said: 'The message sent to you with the attempt by the hero Nigerian Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab is a confirmation of our previous message conveyed by the heroes of September 11.

'If it was possible to carry our messages to you by words we wouldn't have carried them to you by planes.'
