Google Phones are cool phones, Am currently using one the HTC G1, bought it last year and upgraded the firmware to HTC Hero, Why i like the Google phone is that you can continue to change to the latest Android OS 2.1. Am currently trying to upgrade my G1 to have the Nexus One interface. Nexus one is running on the latest Android OS. Will keep u guys updated. |

If you need any info on Google phones gimme a shout am familiar with all android OS. GI, Magic(My Touch), Hero, Droid and Nexus One. |

@olaojmo Which of the ROMs do you have for Nexus one to run on G1, Finding it difficult to pick the smoothest ROM to run on my G1. any suggestions. |

G1 is generally not supported by a nexus rom. I( dont believe the 2.1 version updates have been done for the magic the G1 and the hero). You can use non official or home brew, essentially hacked from something close, but this process is not advisable as you are likely to have issues with all of them. Also the G1 only has a 585Mhz cpu and the nexus has a 1000Mhz with a dedicated graphics chip so the G1 is nowhere near the same performance. I'll advise you to wait for the 2.1 upgarde version, or kindly get the Google Nexus device. this phone is great! |

@ olaojmo The G1 (aka HTC Dream) is not supported by the nexus rom, even if you were able to find a customized rom made by the xda developers, its would be slow becos of the G1s Hardware limitation. the nexus one and g1 are not in the same category, FYI; when Eclair 2.1 comes out, g1 will not be officially supported, |
