The President of Tanzania, John Magufuli has imposed a ban, restricting school girls who get impregnated from going back to school. The President made this known while addressing Bagamoyo District residents during his three-day-tour of Coast Region on Thursday 22nd June, 2017.

Mr. Magufuli accused some of the non-governmental organisations (NGOs), which have been urging the Tanzanian government to allow teen mothers back to school, of being used by alien agents. In the president's world:

“There are many things that girls, who are impregnated can do after delivery; they can join VETA (Vocational Education Training Authority centres), they can learn sewing but they can’t go back to school,”

“If we were to allow them back to school, one day we will find all girls who are in Standard One have babies,” said President Magufuli.

Mr. Magufuli's administration has been pressured by some NGOs to allow teen mothers back to school but the President is giving no room to grant such decision. The NGOs advocating for girls’ rights to education, are said to be urging the government to formulate a legal framework that would allow teenage mothers to resume studies after giving birth.

What about the school boys that impregnated them, why not also sending them away from school and never to go back to school?

What is bad for the goose should also be bad for the gander. Of course, these girls didn't download the pregnancy while surfing the webs.

Though the decision of the president is harsh, it is an antidote to crazy and illicit opening of legs by the teenage girls. He gave them a choice. You can't have your cake and eat.

This man Is a devil. One thing you don't know is that someone that has mistakes in life is more experienced than someone who has not been in a complicated situation. You will be surprised that a girl who gets pregnant and after the child she went back to school has a zeal for school because of the shame she enduring. I don't think you have a female child

Fine. The point I was trying to make was that a school girl is responsible for her life. If a boy comes with advances she can say NO. You can't stop a bird from flying in the air but you can stop it from building a nest over your head.

I'm not being economical with the truth. The truth is teenage girls and boys should not be involved in premarital se.x. I stand for this.
My responses emanate from the fact that the girl child is at the receiving end. Then, she's got to do something to forestall the eventuality.
To your question, I have no answer. A school boy can be taught the best values but he still has a choice to make- to obey or disobey.
The following points are palpable:
1. The president can't be forced to change his mind. Till he does it, any school girl that is put in the family way by a randy boy is on her own.
2. The school boys can't be stopped with 100% precision from making advances to the girls.
3. The moment 1 & 2 are potent and concrete, the school girls need to protect herself and keep the boys at bay.
My brother, please go read about brilliant girls and those that have achieved success at this level of their life.
