In the advertising for my processor, an AMD A10 8700P integrated with an AMD Radeon R6 GPU, it says its speed is 1.8 GHz but its maximum is 3.2 GHz.

I downloaded CPU-Z to check it out and the speed fluctuates between 1.3 GHz and 2.6 GHz. So I downloaded MSI Afterburner (the and radeon graphics settings don't allow it) and pushed it to its limit, and I finally saw the 3.2 GHz speed in CPU-Z.

Really I just need to know all this so I can play some video games smoothly. I have 8GB of RAM and a 1TB hard disk drive. So I opened FIFA 15 after doing all this and it was still lagging (not as much as before) but it was alright. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm was incredibly fast and I was pleased, but then during gameplay I got the Blue Screen of Death and my computer had to restart. That really freaked me out, man. I just need to know if there's a way to safely overclock it to be able to play some games. Or is the RAM too little, do you think I should add more ram?

You have to monitor the temp of your laptop...high temps would definitely lead to malfunction. Over clocking increases temp by a high margin so you need to find a cooling accessory to keep the temp low.

Hope this helps.
