yo Ima1 and echidime, i think we can do some shit together, along with anyone who is interested. reach me at talk2iyc@yahoo.co.uk, and we can brainstorm over ideas for a club in the heart of surulere, where there is already some fun going on.

Hey people, i think we should learn to develop with a lot of economically viable ideas. do you know what you could do with sixty million, is somebody kidding me. why the hell do i want to shell 60 mil on a nightclub. the cost of an interior decorator who can shave out a nice wooden design can save you like a third of that amount. use tiles and marble and work out a nice scenario with wood and you are secure for life. i am thinking like the heart of surulere, where there is already a place waiting to be taken. any interested parties pls.
Re: Starting Up A Night Club In Nigeria by iyc(m): 2:02pm On Feb 10, 2007
Hey ima1, i hope you can handle what it takes to go into nightclubbing in a very high brow town like abj. the start is going to require a lot of publicity, targeted at the right sort of clientelle to enhance its exclusive and upscale image. so think about something targeted at students, and that always pulls everyone in, cos they are always seen to be the most socially aware in any genre. think about it, and let's cook up a plan. i live to exploit opportunity, wherever it may be hiding.
Re: Starting Up A Night Club In Nigeria by iyc(m): 2:11pm On Feb 10, 2007
why is anyone still flipping over the idea of a nightclub? i think we should always learn to respect the positions other people have decided to take, as long as they are happy with that. if you can't lend support, don't open your mouth to dull the party. read other issues, if this one is too scary. there's lots on offer at nairaland. better still just click on religion ma dear!!!

A good plan cheesy Wake up Abuja with some good night entertainment. Last year, I spend a two weeks over there I like the environment clean and organized as for enjoyment it is too dry. Abuja is the opposite of Lagos, when it comes to enjoyment.

When you are sure of opening a club in Abuja, it is very important to have a good marketing plan and segmentation other than money. So that you can patronize the type of class/style you want the club to have! Give it something unique. I suggest also that you check out the clubs they have in the Big hotels in Abuja as well as Lagos. To come up with some inspiration and ideas how you want or not your club to be! As for your prospect direct competitors improve on their weaknesses and look at their strengths. Your plan might take time and money if you want to make something big and different.

With the right planning, contacts and money, you will get there! Please, don't just think only of the money you will be making, but how to provide good entertainment and enjoyment to the peeps!

hey people,i don't believe that people are still freaking over the opening of strip clubs. who says it is a foreign culture? they only added a variation to the way our girls do jigida and if there is an audience, why not? pls let's move on to how we start the club.

Re: Starting Up A Night Club In Nigeria by iyc(m): 6:14pm On Feb 19, 2007
hey, i think we should take a look at the proposal available for starters, if there are suggested amendments, we can discuss them and act appropriately. i believe that should be the task at hand now, and i should ask, what is the fee or consideration for this proposal? are we like going to get shares of the coys stock or what? what exactly do u consider a worthwhile arrangement lai? this is the integral part of it, cause it breeds commitment on a different level.

Re: Starting Up A Night Club In Nigeria by iyc(m): 3:30pm On Feb 21, 2007
hey the nightclub business is not always about shady deals and laundering money, i think u watch too many movies or read too many novels. its just another business, why the smoke with no fire at hand. i talk facts not fiction.
Re: Starting Up A Night Club In Nigeria by iyc(m): 3:34pm On Feb 21, 2007
hey i'm in, but i suggest we arrange some meeting or something. i was also wondering what the return for our participation in this investment would be? are we going to be like paid off or be shareholders? i am curious, lai what u think?
Re: Starting Up A Night Club In Nigeria by iyc(m): 3:39pm On Feb 21, 2007
mariory nice observation on the nudity in african culture, and zebudaya ur mind is too imaginative, there are girls for those interested, but a lot of girls also go out to have fun. i have picked up girls at clubs in lagos who were not hookers and some even came with their own cars.
Re: Starting Up A Night Club In Nigeria by iyc(m): 3:43pm On Feb 21, 2007
loverbwoy i get ur drift, and i am thinking of a club targeted at students, which will eventually have branches in all university towns. it will also offer opportunity for some part time work for students, so that it can infiltrate their culture and life. security plans are tight, considering that we are talking nija universities which are littered with confraternities.

Re: Starting Up A Night Club In Nigeria by zebudaya(m): 3:00am On Feb 28, 2007
iyc when you say someone's mind is too imaginative what does that mean?
Re: Starting Up A Night Club In Nigeria by iyc(m): 3:31pm On Feb 28, 2007
hey zebudaya, i believe imaginative refers to the ability to create out of almost nothing, but mostly in your mind. you can be too imaginative if you begin to totally stray from reality and just spend your thoughts on mere fictions. the process of imagination is blessed to be productive. kabish?
Re: Starting Up A Night Club In Nigeria by iyc(m): 3:39pm On Feb 28, 2007
hey katherine, i like ur thought process, i think we should get married and we could shock the world with concepts. zebudaya what do u think, fat free akara? imagine that!!!, styl plus 4 life!!!
Re: Starting Up A Night Club In Nigeria by iyc(m): 3:44pm On Feb 28, 2007
hey katherine what do u think about this "chop my akara, no shakara". we should be married asap!!!
Re: Starting Up A Night Club In Nigeria by zebudaya(m): 10:54pm On Mar 01, 2007
iyc You have to break it down for me, to convince me that dudes really make money from clubs without participating in illegal stuff before you say i am too imaginative, how many people do they let in on Friday and Saturday nights? how much do they charge them to get in? and how much do they sell the drinks? then tell me if all that justifies the 60 million start up fee people are throwing about on this site. Lets not forget people are fickle and tend to move to another "hot" club when it opens.
