Last week, Ademola Adeleke, father of singer B-Red and Davido's Uncle, was elected the senator to represent Osun West Senatorial district at the senate. The new Senator who takes over from his brother, Isiaka Adeleke who died suddenly in April, celebrated his victory with members of his constituents and he sure pulled some steps.

Looks like he is celebrating an opportunity to be able to make laws that will affect his people positively. But wait a minute, the dance steps are so personal and self gratifying. It seems to me that he is celebrating something more. He is celebrating an entry into the class of power, where money is made and personal aspiration for more powers becomes the center-piece of desires.

I hope he goes there with a mindset that this mess has to be re-structured. The Constitution needs to be thrown into the trash bin and a new people-centered constitution drafted by 'We the People' for 'the people'.
