I shared the information with you guys sometime ago that N-power recruitment.

I also shared the requirements for Npower recruitment, which bank verification number (BVN) is one of the required things before application.

Now, the FG has explained why they are not carrying out BVN validation on N-power participants.

- The federal government has explained its reason for mandating N-Power participant to provide their BVN

- FG said it is carrying out BVN verification exercise for participants to avoid challenges experienced within the programme previously

- The exercise, FG said, will also prevent issues of non payment of participants salaries

The Nigerian government on Tuesday, July 11, explained why it is carrying out validation of the Bio-metric Verification Number (BVN) for participants of the N-Power empowerment scheme.

The federal government said the validation process is expected to avoid previous issues experienced by the participants of the programme.

In a statement on the N-Power website, the federal government said the validation process will eliminate the issues of non payment of participants salaries.

The statement also affirmed government's commitment towards a transparent process within the scheme.

“The aim of BVN validation is to avoid the current situation faced by some of the existing beneficiaries who have had issues with payment.

“Once again, when the BVN validation is done, a TEXT MESSAGE will be sent to your phone numbers to either proceed to the assessment test phase or not. N-Power NG remains committed to a fair and transparent process.

“N-TAX and N-Health Assessment Tests will continue. N-Agro has NOT commenced yet but will commence at a date to be communicated later," the statement read.

Campuspeep.com peeped earlier and reported that the N-Power scheme began sending messages to participants whose BVN records did not match their applications.

The scheme in the messages said all applicants whose had discrepancies in the records will get the message but will also be disqualified.

However, some of the applicants faulting the scheme's message expressed their outrage on N-Power decision to disqualify them.
