So I was travelling from lagos to porthacourt.Around 7:30 this night when we got to ELELE,we were two sitting at the frontseat so we got to an army checkpoint.
With the guy beside me making a sweet phone call with who I guess may be his girlfriend.
Next thing we heard was a thunder some voice 'who dey make that call!!! Before the guy could cut the call ' dem don grab the phone from hin ear' !!kpatakakparam!! They smashed the phone on the tilled road with the pieces scattered everywhere. the guy jejely got down without uttering a word picked the pieces of his phone and we left.he was just hissing till we got to our destinations.

Serves him right though.

why did he not start to hiss (abi name sigh) in the presence of the Soldiers?

It is a general rule not to make and receive calls at check points mounted by Soldiers.
