And once again, news spread like wildfire fire.. It was discovered that the line had been loosed from its hook..
Who would have done that? Of course Simon had his enemies in mind..he held her in his arms for some minutes and waited for the shock to creep into his system..
She is strong, she can't be hurt..that's how he had always seen her..but now she laid lifeless..blood dripping from the side of her forehead..
"Get the first aid! You call the ambulance!"
The siren made people give way..cameras everywhere, it was reported live..Simon followed her into the ambulance and held her hand..his heart was beating fast..Eve is hurt? Was that possible?
She was placed on a temporary oxygen..
He followed as they wheeled her till he was prevented to follow into the emergency Ward
Yvonne rushed into the hospital..
"Where is she?"
Simon didn't say a word..Yvonne paced to and fro, stopping every nurse who passed to at least ease her fears..
Both spotlight and Celtic films actresses lits candles for a night and prayed every morning..
Peter was not at ease..Nkoli neither..the whole world was point accusing fingers at them..they were the only enemies Eve had..so it's normal they suspect them..The doctor had finally eased them a bit that Eve would had a 50;50 chance.. if only she wakes up from her comma..she hit her head hard..she was really lucky..
Simon had boiled in anger..If Eve doesn't make this he would commit murder, he realised he loves this girl..he had always loved her..he shouldnt have kicked her out of the house that day, he should have listened to her, he should be protecting her..this shouldnt have happened, he should have caught her
This was big trouble for both Nkoli and Peter..they sincerely hoped she didn't make it..
"She should just die father"
Peter said when they watched the news..he switched off the TV and threw the remote
"If she wakes up who knows? She would come back for us in full force..she shouldn't make it.."
Nkoli paced around..
"Did you do it?"
Nkoli had to question him?
"What are you talking about..I didn't..did you?"
He scoffed at it, he didn't even know if he should even trust Nkoli again..they didn't trust each other on this one
"Then if none of us did this..who did?..who tried to kill her..or she has more enemies?"

Simon opened the door
"my friend what are you doing here? would you...
the way he approached Nkoli made him shut his mouth
" I think it's time for you to listen..I know all you did..I know you killed my parents"
The shock was so visible on both their faces..Peter was now stammering
"son?"

"Don't call me that"
his eyes was red..anger was seething thru his veins..he grabbed Peter by his neck and held him against the wall
"If anything happens to Eve, Peter"
it was the first time he called Peter by his name
"I would hunt you to hell..I would pull your very flesh from your soul.. I would make sure you beg for death"

"We stand tall..we rule the world, we control the media.. We got it all.. We stand strong! One of ours is between life and death, but we believe life has been given..we believe everything would be fine..we believe she would fight this..we believe she would choose life! To Eve!"
Charles lifted his candle
"To Eve!"
Everyone responded
Simon sat with his two hands supporting his jaw..he had refused to leave the hospital.. He had his bodyguard bring his clothes, he bathed and changed right there in the hospital
"I would not leave here till she comes back to me"
He opened up to Yvonne one evening when she insisted he take a break..
She was pleased..although she still wanted him to rest
"Mom you are so calm, ain't you scared..ain't you angry?"
She smiled
"Oh I am son..you know me..I let my enemies get to the cliff..and then I push them..let's just wait till the investigation ends and the true culprit is found"
Simon knew her well, she doesn't bluff..
"Doctor why isn't she awake yet..why?"
Simon hurried to the doctor when he stepped into the ward to check on Eve..she was covered in life supporting machine of different sort
"Simon you would just have to give her time, waking up depends on Eve alone now..it depends on her will to live"
Twas so sad..and it was clearly written on everyone..spotlight was put on hold again. Just when it started its first set
"I warned you Charles..that it was dangerous but you wouldnt listen!! You won't..now she is fighting for her life! Is that what you wanted?! Huh?!"
Simon lost it and confronted Charles the director..it was a week now and Eve had not even shown any sign of recovery..it scared him..the doctor had said..she might regain consciousness, she can remain like that for years, or she could give up finally..
"Simon it was just an idea..and she chose to do it..I am equally affected here..we all her ok"
He grabbed his neck..he was loosing it
"Simon! Let him go!"
Yvonne rushed to him
He left and drove home..he was loosing his cool already. Unfortunately for the poor maids..
"What the..you are fired!"
He sent the one who mistakenly bumped into him..his phone rang..it was Yvonne
"Simon..Simon she is awake! But..
He didn't wait to hear what's next he ended the call..
He got to the hospital and saw the doctors round Eve, asking questions
" what's wrong Mum?"

"She lost her memory"
Tears dropped from her eyes
he forced his way in
"Eve?"
She turned.
"Who are you?"

"What's this? who are you people?"
she was getting unstable..A tear dropped from Simon's eyes..
"What's all these? what am I doing in an hospital? why is no one speaking to me! who are you people!"
No one could say a word
"Eve Eve.."
Simon quickly held her hand but she quickly withdrew
"who is Eve?"
Tension swelled..she looked around everyone faces
"Who is Eve?"
she asked again tearfully..
"Who..who am I..I can't remember a thing"
Simon hugged her tight..
"it's ok its ok..see these"
he brought out his phone and showed her pictures of them together 3years back..
"we are very close my dear..and she is your mother..you had an accident that's why you can't remember anything"
she was quiet for a while..but then she shook her head in disbelief
"No..this is a trick.. why can't I recognise any of your faces?"

"Eve..Eve am your husband ok..you can trust me..come on you can.."
The shock on her face was a big sign of disbelief
"it's true..look at these pictures again"

"but the date of this pictures was may 23..oh my God it was 3years back!"
she withdrew again..
"No no..we have other pictures"
he quickly signalled Yvonne to help him out
"Yes it's true my dear..he is your husband"
Yvonne butt in and signalled the doctor to sedate her drip..and slowly she drifted off
"Doctor please tell me that she would gain her memory back"

"she will, but it's gonna take a while..months or years..if there is a miracle maybe weeks..you all just help her out"
It didn't sound satisfactory to Yvonne
"Simon this is not good..Eve can't lose her memory at this time..she is in a battle..not now..her enemies would take advantage of this Simon"
She was about to say something else but Simon hushed her
"They won't..because I would be here to continue from where she stopped..I would protect her mom..I will"
Yvonne smiled..but she still wasn't relieved..Eve has to remember.. she just has to

"Father have you heard the latest..?"
Peter questioned in enthusiasm..
"Eve is no longer Eve..she lost her memory! do you know how this can help us..? we could get the shares back..we could have the company back..we could.."
Nkoli cleared his throat to interrupt him
"It seems you are forgetting about Yvonne..it seems you've forgotten that she is a greater devil we've been fighting for years..and we tried to kill her daughter.."
Peter sat to think about it for a while..
"But she is been calm.. And Eve, even as she has the means to lock us up, yet she didn't..something doesn't add up here.."
Nkoli stood up and paced to the window..with his hands crossed behind him
"We would act now with this opportunity..but I can't help but feel those ones are planning something..and it's something big"
Yvonne informed Simon of what Nkoli and Peter were up to..
Eve had insisted she wanted to go out..Simon had her seriously guided..but then it was well planned as they had her abducted and brought her to the company
"Don't be scared my child..I am your grandfather.. I saved you from those goal diggers"
she kept quiet..they were both so strange to her and now she was really getting confused
"I know you are confused my dear..those people made you loose your memories..you are not Simon's wife..you are a star Eve..an actress..you never loved Simon..he is an imposter..he wants to trick you and steal your company from you.. he wants...

" stooopppp!!"
she held her head..a strong headache spanned in her Brian and it felt like she would explode
"All you have to do is sign this and get it back from him..see these pictures..see..you are a star..not any man's wife..you are my daughter..why would Simon lie to you if he doesn't have something else in mind..he wants to steal it from you.. sign this and get your company back"
she took the pen..
"I don't trust you"
she still protested
"I don't know who to trust".
Nkoli was trying his best to still keep calm, he was getting impatient
" You can trust me my dear..I love you my daughter and I can't watch and see another man take your company from you"
ok maybe she didn't remember anything but she wasn't dumb
"why do you keep emphasizing on this company? what's this I am to sign?"
she attempted to go thru but he snatched it. he was loosing it. Peter was signalling him to keep calm
"I can't believe you dont believe me Eve..I can't believe this..you would call me a kidnapper"
oh no, he went overboard and Eve smartly understood
"I didn't call you a kidnapper...or are you? who are you people. no..am not signing these..am not.."
Nkoli grabbed her by her neck
"you would sign it you bastard!"
the girl was just too smart and he wasn't ready to play games..
"get your hands off her!"
simon charged in and landed his fist on Nkoli..Nkoli pushed Eve in the process, she hit her head against the wall..Peter tried to help out but Simon was quicker and stronger..he beat them to pulp and rushed to Eve..she held him tight..
"Are you OK?"
his hands were shaking as he crossed checked her..she felt their connection..her heart was beating fast for this man
she drew him close to herself and hugged him again..inhaled his scent.
"let's get out of here".

" Si..Simon.. I remembered something..you said I used a line that wasn't tied right?"
Simon stopped the car and parked well
"Yes"

"But I remembered something back there when I hit my head again..someone pushed me..I didn't jump"
it stroke his heart. his mind went far..and then he knew who was responsible..there was no other person..he knew it was Sonia

"Eve has announced that she would continue the movie!"
Everyone roared in joy..
"I really can't understand this woman..despite all she has been thru..and despite the fact that she is presently going thru some difficult times..she still pushes thru..she indeed a strong woman"
Charles had to appraise her before he handed her the mic
she cleared her throat
"It's sad that I have to do all this based on the stories I heard..not the one I remember.. I sincerely wish I can remember all your faces and all the times I might have had with you all..but nevertheless..as I heard spotlight finally kicked off last month..and I won't let it go down the drain..let's make this happen!"
they roared with applause..they tagged her Eve the wonder woman..she found it funny..
Simon had charged home to meet Sonia watching TV..she ignored him when he called her
"Sonia why did you do it?"
her heart missed..
"Do what?"
she switched off the TV and faced him trying so hard to keep the innocent look
"Why did you push her..? you were there that day..I saw you..very close to the line..I didn't figure you would do something like that..until now..there is no mistake..it was you"
he was saying all these trying to tame his temper to the possible best..
she burst out in tears
"Sonia I know you didn't act alone..someone must have made you do it..who?"
she didn't hesitate, she had not been herself for the past three weeks..her conscience hunted her..many a time she just felt like running to him and pour it out..
"Your father had me do it..he promised me..he promised I would have you if I could just clear her out of the way"
she was crying but he didn't find it funny
"Did my dad force you to push her?"
he questioned with red eyes
"No but..."

"But what Sonia..he only made a suggestion.. you on your own made your decision to do it..do not blame anybody..not even the devil"
he attempted to walk out..she must go to jail for this
"Simon I did it because of you..you don't even look at me..and when that woman came back from God knows where it became worse..I am your wife for God's sake!!"

"The marriage is fake!!"
he dropped the bombshell, it exploded right in the centre of her brain..
"no..no"
Hot tears poured from her eyes
"How could you be so dumb.. I have never touched you Sonia..not even a day..because you are not my property..and you think I don't know you've been cheating? of course I know..but it's none of my business because you were never mine..I never hurt you..nor anyone close to you..but you trying to hurt the woman I love..that you are going to pay dearly for!"
He broke her very soul and left her with the police before he met with Yvonne..
The news went viral. the culprit had finally been caught..

THE MOVIE:
Sara had never believed in love since she had her heart broken twice..Philip on the other hand was a play boy..whose dreams was to carry the title of the best model..Well he needed Eve on his team to spicy things up. if he could just get her to trust him..

REALITY: Simon hurried to meet Nkoli trying to woo the board of directors to impeach Eve since she wasn't capable
"I am here to represent Eve.."
He bounced in with his suit..
"Why isn't she here herself.. if she is really capable enough to lead this company.."
Simon remained calm, opened his briefcase and brought out a document where she signed a temporal handover of the company affairs to him..
"You can go thru the documents and see for yourself.. There is a law that allows anyone capable to temporary represent any of the board of directors"
Nkoli fired back again
"And how do we know you are capable?!"
Simon snatched the document for his hands
"Well you would just have to find out
"
Eve was listening to all these, of course she had the hall bugged..so she could hear all conversations..
Yvonne walked up to her
" You think he is ready"
she nodded..
"Call him up"
Simon wonder what had happened this time..Yvonne had called him up that Eve wasn't well..she was having painful headaches
he rushed to her and to his surprise she sat sipping her glass of wine..
"Mom called..she said you weren't feeling well"
he said and had that questionable face..wondering if that was really the case
she walked up to him and embraced him
" I forgive you"
he didnt still understand, but minutes later he began to understand
"Forgive me? wait you regained your memory?!!"
his eyes went wide open as he hugged her again and again
she smiled at him and kissed him to make him settle down before she burst his bubbles
"well Simon, I never lost my memories in the first place"
