"Dear Pastor, How can I distinguish between a false Prophet and a Prophet of God" - Turyamusuma from Uganda.

While responding to the Question, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome explain how mistakes can make some genuine men of God behave like a false prophet.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome blame this mistakes on ignorance. No man is above mistake, "Pastors can make mistakes, do not judge them by their mistakes" he said.

That is not the answer to that question. A serial fornicator, wife beater, pedophi.le, drug pusher, religious merchandise seller, do as you want dont worry God still loves you person that hides under the cloak of MOG should not be over looked. The small mistakes some genuine MOG make are not what makes them false. A MOG that maybe uses some church fund to buy a new suit or collects tithe without knowing its proceeds from crime etc we can say is a mistake a spouse deciding to leave a MOG because they cant cope with the pressure of the flock I would somehow understand with the said MOG( as long as Adultery of the prophet is not the main reason the spouse is leaving. you cant force a spouse to stay) But a serial sinner who has been doing oposite of what he preaches for donkey years and would have gone on doing it if he wasnt exposed is not just human. He is a false prophet. Even the bible warns that people should not follow them. If it did not matter the bible would not have asked believers to zest the spirit and not fall for the false prophets who would come in Gods name. It would have just said overlook and keep following them.

Same way John the Baptist made a mistake that cost him his head and Jesus refused to help him, same way David made the mistake of snatching someone's wife, same way pope Benedict made the mistake that cost him his position etc. All humans are prone to mistakes so long as we remain in this mortal bodies and the whites who brought Christianity to us understand this.

David was not a prophet and what he did was not a mistake but a sin which he repented from and did not repeat again. He was not a serial wife snatcher like most of the hypocrites calling themselves MOG just for the benefits that title brings. John the baptist did not make any mistake that cost him his head. Stoo twisting the gospel.

David was a man after God's heart, he had great relationship with God even better than most prophets so forget about the tittle of 'prophet'. John the Baptist made a mistake by interfering in matter that did not concern him. He had no business condemning king herod because of his choice of wife. That's herod's business! So when he made the mistake and got imprisoned, Jesus knew he would be killed but did nothing because he crossed his boundaries

He was not a prophet. She asked about prophets not about people who God loves. Forget about tge title of prophet? Who anointed David to be king? A prophet The role of a prophet in those days was never toyed with. David WAS NOT A PROPHET!
John the baptist did not make a mistake. He spoke the truth as many prophets do when they see evil. They speak and sometimes have to run away and hide because those whom they speak against are looking for them to kill them. Jesus did not ignore anyone what a blasphemy!!! . Even on the cross Jesus said My God my God why have you for saken me? Does that mean jesus also crossed his boundries hence God forsook him? Stop twisting the bible. That same Bible mentioned God saying he has sent many prophets but they got killed by men whose hearts are hardened. God never complained that they got killed because of what they did but rather because men couldnt handle the truth told of their evil lives. If God forsakes us for crossing boundries I am sure even you would not be here today.

my dear ask ursef this question. How come Jesus saved an adulterous woman who was about to be stoned to death but left John the Baptist?? The fact is that John the Baptist had completed his mission on earth which was to announce the coming of the Messiah and baptize him. Of course Jesus was saddened by his death and the bible recorded how Jesus went away by himself to be alone after he heard what happened to John the Baptist but the truth is that, John should have mind his business. Jesus was also a preacher during the time of John the Baptist. He knew what herod was doing but was clever enough not to interfere. I admire ur bible knowledge though

Tjat question is what you should ask yourself. Howcome he saved tge one that crossed her boundry but not the ones that were killed for the kingdoms sake? Stop twisting the bible. John finished his mission and was killed afterwards. If not, john would have died sooner even before Jeaus came along because I am sure that method of speaking the truth without fear or prejudice has been his nature before Jesus came for baptism. Do you think John was the only prophet that was killed because of what he spoke against the king and people of the land? Do you mean to say God did not save all the prophets who were killed becaise the crossed boundries? Biko stop. A self tittked MOG is a serial adulterer Nigerians say he is human but when real MOG is killed for speaking about Gods work and correcting even the kings and rullers of their evil deeds, you say he crossed boundry. What kind of bakward biblical teaching is that?

delishpot, it's very difficult to convince you. Preaching is different from pointing accusing fingers at someone and condemning their actions. Jesus was also a preacher along side John the Baptist. Jesus preached, John the Baptist interfered in herod's marriage to his brother's wife thereby incurring the wrath of the wife. That's why you don't see pastor Chris oyakhilome condemning the actions of government against christians but apostle Suleiman, tb Joshua also condemns the government and they face great persecutions. Does it mean pastor Chris is not a preacher??

Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
Acts 2:29‭-‬30 KJV

David was a Prophet.
