Some time last week I opened this thread...

https://www.nairaland.com/3918396/lost-job-due-misconduct-d

I don't know where to start it but from the bashing and words of encouragement from all those who made comments, I decided not to run and face the time since I can commit the crime this led to my first experience with policemen at there station. Indeed Nigeria police station is not a place I pray any nlanders or my enemy shu go.
Around 9:30am we arrived at the station with the Barrister car on alighting from the car the first thing that will catch ur attention is a writing on the wall of the fence boldly writing in black paint and in capital letter BAIL IS FREE.

I was at ease with my self when I saw another write up POLICE IS YOUR FRIEND, I smile but I was cut short of this joy by the Barrister Baritone voice when he called my name and ask me to bring 20k so we will use it to settle the Dpo and Dco, then the guys that we take your statement, surprised I pointed to the inscription on the wall the barrister laughed and tap me this is naija bring the money let put it in the envelope like a sheep led to the slaughter house I was led to a corner and we arranged the money into the envelope, I never knew this is the beginning.. Bail is not free.

Like every other police station in Nigeria, the environment is an eyesore and the odour that welcome you as you put your step inside the office is enough to give one cancer of the nose, but then as a stranger you wonder how the inhabitants have been surviving this odour all this their life.

Straight to the point I followed my legal team to the DPO office and the bank representatives but unfortunately he was on is way out to brief meeting of all DPO's with the governor so he asked an officer to handle our case with his pot belly he walked out while the remaining officer salutes.

As we followed the officer to his office, he stopped along the way and asked what is the case all about, the first lawyer replied and said its a matter of bank the officer looked back and scream Bank ah that na big case o o we all the followers look back at each other and wink, my heart grip as if the blood has stop flowing..
