Rules Of Doing Business In Computer Village, Ikeja. by SamAbims(m): 1:00pm On Jul 18, 2017
While growing up, I heard and read about numerous stories of people getting cheated in the very popular
and arguably the biggest IT market in West Africa, computer village, Ikeja. That has inspired me to write this short rules of engagement for business in the marke

1. Never buy any gadget on the street. Always buy in a store.

2. Be wary of phone hustlers. Those boys that hold cheap phone on the street are usually with faulty or fake phones. Patronising them is a ticket to getting defrauded.

3. Do not be too greedy. Greediness in the sense that you see an expensive gadget at a ridiculous price.

4. Know at least one person you can trust in whatever business you do. So ask a friend if you don't know anybody. Coming to market for the first time as a novice is tiring and one can be easily overwhelmed and duped.

5. Have an idea of the price of whatever gadget you are purchasing.

Following these five rules would go a long way in helping you avoid getting duped in computer village. Feel free to add yours.
