This is a copy of my daughter's textbook which she's been using since last September. It clearly says Christian Religious studies and National values, while there is the Islamic religious studies for Muslims in her class. So when exactly did the previous administration merge the subjects?

They should remove IRK and CRK entirely. Muslim children after school always go for religious teaching called 'Islamiya' at home, while christain children go for catechism. Is that not enough religious teachings for children?
And they should remove Arabic language as an alternative to French Language for International Language and replace it with something worthwhile like Spanish or Portuguese. Who needs Arabic for God's sake

That may not be fair.it's either the two religious subjects are removed and replaced with a new course or they are retained

We have churches and mosques at every nook and cranny across the country and they are more than enough to teach whatever they teach.

The fact some people don't go to church or mosque is their personal decision and not going to those places or being religious doesn't automatically makes you immoral. Therefore , the are not the only means to attain morality.


Your last point about govt bringing us together through those subjects is flawed. Last time I checked ,those subjects are independent and a quintessential Christian or Muslim in this country will blatantly refuse to offer the subject that contradicts his or her belief so how does that affect unity?
