Good evening Nairalanders, Please my questions is as follows. What happens to a Nigerian Citizen who has overstayed a US visitor's visa decides to just buy a one way return ticket back to Nigeria? Would anything happen at the airport once his Nigerian passport is shown? |

They will not arrest you but if you ever show face in their embassy to obtain another visa, na police dog go settle your case o! |

@Invisible thanks to you for your response. It just baffles my mind that a govt would not be curious to why all of a sudden an overstay decides to up and leave. I know I would be. At the very least, shouldn't there be a check to ensure such one has not commited any criminal offence   |
