This is a true story and the author, Rick Mathes, is a well-known leader in the prison ministry.

The Muslim religion is the fastest growing religion per capita in the United States, especially amongst the minority races!!!

Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant, and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their beliefs.

I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say. The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video.

After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers.

When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked: 'Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world and, that by killing an infidel, (which is a command to all Muslims) they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?' There was no disagreement with my statements and, without hesitation, he replied, 'Non-believers!'


I responded, 'So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can have a place in heaven. Is that correct?'

The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar.'

He sheepishly replied, 'Yes.'

I then stated, 'Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith, or Dr. Stanley ordering all Protestants to do the same in order to guarantee them a place in heaven!'

The Imam was speechless!

I continued, 'I also have a problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me!

Let me ask you a question: Would you rather have your Allah, who tells you to kill me in order for you to go to heaven, or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to heaven and He wants you to be there with me?'

You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame. Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the Diversification training seminar were not happy with my way of dealing with the Islamic Imam, and exposing the truth about the Muslims' beliefs.


In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. to elect the President!

I think everyone in the U.S. should be required to read this, but with ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on!

Vanguard group should ensure that this medium not be used to spread to cast aspersions
on any religious belief. There is no reason for this smear campaign other than mischief. The
Muslim's faith recognises the prophethood of Jesus Christ and he also recognises the people
of the book, meaning the Bible.

The source of the news item is suspect and should be disregarded. The opening statement is on the spread of Islam
and the ensuing prose is devoted to dissuading the reader from joining. This is the type of intolerance
that we have to avoid.

Well!! As much as I will not like to join issues with people over what a man thinketh in his heart, I think I owe it a duty to put records straight so that we do not spread falsehood. It even irks me that journalism is getting irresponsible these days that a newspaper house like Vanguard could be part of this campaign of calumny

I have been born into the religion of Islam close to 40years now and I have never heard any Islamic cleric preach what your Rick Mathes said he was confronted it. I think the issue here is a personal thing. How you view life and your instincts too.

I went to xtian schools, had xtian indoctrination, worked in the midst of xtians. Never have we had cause to quarrell or fight over religion. I have brothers and sisters who are Xtians too and that does not stop us from being relations anymore. I attend church weddings and all that.

I think a Taliban is not just a guy from the middle east who ties a robe around his neck. A taliban is also a guy who is a Muslim, Xtian or whatever who thinks he can fight for God and can lampoon, distort facts and also spread falsehood about the other man's religion. In this category are Rick Mathes, Niger_d, CitizenY and co. Please in this age and generation, let us put our education to do things that add value and not senseless things like this. Religion is a way of life and Islam preaches TOLERANCE, BROTHERLINESS, FAITH, TRUTHFULNESS and the enjoins all human beings to be upright and I think Xtianity does same too

Please let's desist from spreading things like this on public forums where people of other climes read us. This could be part of the reason why US included us in the Terror Watch List because religious uprising starts from people spreading things like this all over the place.

They have been attempting that since the 1960's with their pogrom against the Igbos. Mind you that they are not fighting against stones but against people who also react. So, the issue of being able to wipe out all the christians does not arise as in a balanced battle anywwhere, the christians will always whoop their backside just like they had a little taste in Jos. That is what has been keeping them in check lately.

We have seen extremist who are suicide bombers,who are ready to kill (including themselves) because they think this is what Islam teaches and this is what you think too right?The question is why would somebody that is ready to die save others(i mean his brothers in the south that you claimed wil be killed by the southerners?

Islam is the most violent religion, whether you guyz like it or not. A muslim can attend a christian school without been molested but on the contrary christian are been molested in various school in the North.
All over the world, any where there is a religious fight, 90% of the time its this islamist. In Nigeria has there ever been an unprovoked religious fight in the south?
Yoruba muslim are however far more liberal and enlighten than thier silly Northern counterpart who kill @ the slightest provocation.

God can never give that power to Terrorist Religion

Religion, tonic of mass. The thing doesn't project intelligence at all. The truth is that society will always fix itself through conflict but unfortunately none us here will be alive to see the day that the cave people will exit the cave and their eyes adapt to light.
Positives of religion is that it prevents impunity, we don't want low lives walking around believing that nothing will fall on them if they molest innocent souls. In a hundred years from now religion would probably be at the brink of extinction like female circumcision is now.

No rest for Terrorist

I laugh when I read the crap, i.e. the article. It's purely horses.hit and should be aptly consigned to rash right away!
Why? Hmm. . .the reasons are countless:

1- Its very obvious, even if the drama happened, that the so-called Imam is very, very illiterate and he's just an Imam by name, for I know even an illiterate person could have answered those question in a better way than that.

2- Why didn't the questioner ask of any reason behind that? Or reason from the Qur'an and/or prophetic tradition, i.e. hadith?

3- If truly that is what the religion teaches how, on God's earth, is it the fastest growing religion per capita in the United States, especially amongst the minority races!!!, according to the piece? Why not tell us why and how?

4- Etc.

I challenge anyone here (and everywhere else) to come with any Qur'anic verse or hadith saying that clearly or unclearly approve of killing of innocent, non-combatant people. And where a suicide bomber (mark my words, not a martyred or shahid) is promised haven or whatsoever reward.

does Islam Say: "Kill The Infidels"?
Someone said, "Your Quran says to kill all the Jews and Christians..", how do we answer harsh question and attacks against Islam?
Before we begin, it is important to begin with the Name of Allah - and ask Him to send peace and blessings upon Muhammad, peace be upon him. And Remember "Allahu 'Alim" - it is only Allah who is the True Knower of all Things.
This is absolutely not true and it is quite easy to prove.
The Quran still exists today just as it did at the time of the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. You see, he never did learn how to read or write, so he memorized the entire Quran from the angel Gabriel (Jibril in Arabic) and then he passed on this recitation (Quran) to his companions and they in turn passed it on to the next generation and this practice continues even today, reciting by memory and then passing it on to the next generations. And by the way, it is exactly the same from anywhere it is recited in the world.
We know the Quran orders believers to fight in combat against those who are the oppressors, aggressors and terrorists and those who are assaulting and killing the innocent men, women and children. But it gives out clear orders - NOT TO Fight against those who are not fighting against you...
Now here is an example of how you might answer those folks with the harsh questions:
First say, "Thank you for your interest in Islam and the Muslims"
Continue, "It is our duty and privilege to present the truth and proof about Islam and what it represents. We desire to clear up misconceptions and misunderstandings about Islam to help others see the true message that came with all of the prophets from Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad, peace be upon them all."
Now be sure to mention this important point:
"The message is: La ilaha illa Allah (none has the right to be worshipped except Allah)."
Now say, "And before I begin to answer the question, I would like to ask you a question - 'If you hear something you like in the answer or something that really makes sense to you - then are you prepared to accept the message of worshipping your Lord without any partners?"
"After all, Islam is really all about this one subject anyway."
Then go to the next important area (misconceptions):
"Now let us correct some mistakes in the 'question' itself. There is not such a meaning in the Quran, ordering or even permitting the Muslims to ever attack innocent people whether they are Christians, Jews, or any other faith for that matter.
Combat is only ordered against those who are attacking or killing the innocent Muslims or fighting against the established Muslim state.
Now here is the answer -
The word used most often in Quran, that is so often mistranslated as kill; slay; or slaughter is not jihad, it is Qital and if you look to the Arabic, you will quickly understand this word in today's usage would clearly be combat.
Naturally, just as here in the U.S. we must stand up for righteousness and strive to prevent oppression, aggression and tyranny. This is the proper usage and understanding for this term, as you will discover while passing through the Tafsir and explanations by top scholars today.
Scholars of Quran tell us the verses dealing with this topic are specific and not intended to imply a general meaning for just anyone to decide to go around combating non-Muslims. The early Muslims had been driven out of their homes and turned out into the desert to starve. After finally, relocating in Medina, verses came in Quran instructing them to make hajj (pilgrimage) back to Makkah. Finding their way blocked and after several years of making agreements and treaties that the others continually broke, the Muslims were at last, told they could now fight in combat against the tyrants who had so horribly mistreated and abused them in the past. However, this would only be acceptable to Allah if they remained within very specific limitations. The word "Qital" in Arabic in this instance refers to "combat" rather than what some have used "kill" because the word "kill" is far to general, while the word "combat" appropriately describes what is intended by the usage in this passage. Allah Knows Best.
It should also be noted the usage of the word "Fitnah" in the same verse denotes a horrible condition, not unlike what we find today when there is terrorism and tyranny against the moral and just society at large. It would be easy to properly understand the meaning as, "Engage them in combat, even killing them, until the state of "Fitnah" (terrorism) no longer exists in the society and people are free to worship Allah by their choice."
We can see these verse are not designed to promote terrorism, but rather these are very orders from Above to the Muslims to be the first of those who stand out aggressively against all forms of terrorism and oppression.
Once this is in place, there really isn't a question anymore, due to the necessity as we see today, to prevent and subdue enemies of freedom, liberty and justice. In other words, we could easily say Allah ordered believers in the Quran to wage combat against terrorism - 14 centuries ago. And the "struggle against oppression, terrorism and tyranny" in the Arabic language, it is called, "Jihad."
I tell them, "Islam declared the WAR ON TERRORISM - over 1,400 years ago!"
We pray to Allah to make it easy for all of us to find the correct meanings and teachings of Islam and allow us to share Islam with others, and forgive our mistakes and grant us His Paradise, Ameen.
