So the company I work for just hired a new accountant. He's not bad in terms of looks, dresses decently and has kind eyes.
So our friendship has gone a bit beyond the office and I'm just wondering if there could be something there worth exploring.
We've got lots in common and enjoy being around each other. We don't work together and sometimes we may not see each other in a whole day even though we work in the same company.
My company has more women than men so I need to act fast before someone else claims him

But I've heard too many times that office romance does not usually work out but I believe there could be exceptions.

Its a Nay! Emotions in the workplace will affect productivity. Jealousy might crip in when either of you hangs with or gets friendly with an opposite sex colleague. At my last job it was rampant though, many led to marriages

Your dilemma is easy to resolve:

Do you value your reputation, job and position in the company and see prospects for advancement there ?
Do you understand the possible ramifications of dating someone in the accounting department ? Then 'Nay';

Otherwise do as your hormones push.
