Arguably, most of us were raised this way. However, do you buy-in to use of arm support, foot resting and posturing of the neck and back of feeding a baby?

It makes the children hate food.

The healthiest kids feed themselves.

Barbaric undecided

the food can go down the wrong way and cause the lungs to be infected.

This is just a crude method of feeding kids, and definitely not an approach for the modern mother.

My baby deserves this but I dare not try it. He can go a whole day without eating.

I see this a lot, in fact everyday and I never stop to scold mothers.
This is inhuman, barbaric and debases the child to the level of an animal.
The child stands the risk of aspirating the food into the lungs, and there begins the cascade of recurrent chest infections for which you spend more money in & out of the hospital.

I'm actually startled seeing comments above , justifying this act. 21st century graduates reasoning like men of the medieval age.
Back in those days, my mum didnt feed me or my sinlings this way, so what are we talking about? Have thr feeds suddenly become less tasty or have mothers become more lazy.
A child is supposed to be pet and rocked and cajoled sometimes with incentives , all to encourage him to feed. Thats what motherhood entails, thats what facilitates mother-child bonding.
