One here was in my WhatsApp mysteriously (never knew how he/she got my number) asking for help. She('whom i suspected was male) said i promised in NL to assist her with finance for her to finish her education.

I asked how much she needed, she said for starters 50k will do. I said okay. Which school was she? She mentioned one Uni in the Western Nigeria. How about her parents? She said she hadn't talked to them or gone home for two years.

She said, she dropped out of school and that caused a gap In between them. I said fine. Giving the money is not a problem, but i'll need to reconciled you with your mom, because your dad may be hard to get through to, but moms? And you haven't been home for two years, she'd die with joy to have you back and will impress on your dad to forgive you. So, give me your moms number. I can talk to her in a way she love you even if she wouldn't. At this point she withdrew.

After a while, she will come back online asking for money, but anytime i called that number, he/she would cut the call and type a message instead. At a point i told her if she kept bothering me, i'd send her number to EFCC. He/she stopped.

These people are lazy, not that people don't fall into hard times, but these ones are just lazy and will steal given the chance.

I get such messages in mail almost on a monthly basis and even though I'm always willing to help, its hard for me cuz its impossible to know the genuine from the fake so I just go with my guts and hope I'm correct

All Betting centers are crowded with teens, where do they get the money to bet? They steal mostly. Steal phones and sell, the snatch hand backs at bus stops. Steal from home and then beg.
