Greetings people, I feel compelled to make this short write up because of the reported surge in ritual killings across our country Nigeria. I think the government needs to carry out a deliberate sensitization using mass media, radio jingles, short drama and sponsoring home videos with messages that it is impossible to get fortunate by using human part in anyway for rituals.
Nigerian is currently riddled with too many problems, but this surge in ritual killings/kidnapping is very sickening, barbaric and alienating.

The first time I ever got notion of the concept of ''blood money'' (that people kill/sacrifice people and become rich there off) it was in Nigerian home videos. This notion of blood money, kept getting credence by the media even though nobody could prove that this was possible, I mean how can this be possible and 99.9% of herbalist and their households, who prepare this ''said to be potent charms'' that make the ritualist rich, remain poor?
This Herbalist live off of consultation fees and patronage of their clients...does it even make sense that a man who has that much knowledge would remain in penury while making others well off irrespective of the cost?
I believe that a lot of persons saw the video of the foiled robbery attempt at the Zenith bank in Owerri that left a gallant police officer and a robber dead, if you recollect, you would agree with me that the armed robbers were acting like they were immune to gun shots (Odeshi), they were not running as they ought to for cover when the policeman opened fire on their car. One of them was even very confident of whatever charm that he had that he went into the security post with confidence, knowing that the policeman had a gun and was shooting at them...he got a shock of his life and is rotting in the earth as at now.
Back at school I was socially exposed and prominent, I had friends both good and bad, I know guys who did ODESHI, but were killed by bullet wounds. One of my friend was in the University Anticult security group, he spent a substantial amount of money to fortify himself and be bullet prove, he told me that he was tested after the whole fortification, I had doubts about the efficacy, since I had never seen anybody who was shot and hit by a bullet in real time, without the bullet penetrating them, I didnt tell my friend about my doubts anyway, he had a strong believe in things like that, so need to quarrel or dampen his courage. I just told him to be careful and to run from fire. Not too long after the fortification, they made a raid on a den of cultist and he got shot. Yes right...it penetrated. He was severely wounded but he survived after a while in the hospital.
I concluded that the herbalist must have tested them with empty/rubber/fake bullets, deceiving them to believe that services have been rendered so that they can part with their money. I started thinking and have concluded that herbalist are fraudsters, they claim to have power yet the police picks them up and locks them behind bars. This whole ritualist and mystical power of herbalist is shrouded in mystery because its a scam, how can people have knowledge of such powers and are still very vulnerable and poor?

The level of education is very low in Nigeria..even tons of people that have been through school cannot reason well (just look at the way religion leaders make a ridicule of supposed educated men in Nigeria if in doubt) and also at the very poor quality of comments on media platforms with predominantly Nigerian commentators like Nairaland and Lindaikeji..even on FB.

The government needs to be more involved in helping people think, their should be a massive propaganda with the motive of correcting the wrong mindset of people concerning the abilities of traditional practices. Did anyone see the video of Sango worshiper who caught fire in the mouth trying to perform a trick at the Sango festival? Thats all this Traditional businessmen (herbalist) do, TRICKS! All they care about is your patronage fee, hence the reason they ask you to make available absurd items like the liver of a Lizard, heart of a hawk e.t.c for sacrifices..this are items you cant find anywhere and which you would end up paying they to get for you. Its just their way of getting more money from you.

The National Orientation Agency should wake up to it responsibility and create massive awareness of the futility in killing humans for money rituals. Abroad, blood money is used to mean money that was made at the expense of a lot of poor and vulnerable people, like the diversion of funds meant for basic amenities in ones country, stealing food/cash donated to the IDP camps e.t.c.
Blood money as perceived in Nigeria, witchcraft and jargon as this are all hogwash and should stop been promoted or given credence by the media and HOME VIDEOS.
The government should also caution the pastors and religious leaders, who always lie to their congregations that their problems are caused by witch/wizard e.t.c, they should be made to prove this or stop making false claims to extract money.
Just look at the little hungry kids who have been termed witches by their parents pastors, see how they have transformed after few years of care by foreign charitable persons, this craze has to stop!
The image that this barbarism gives to our nation is a new low. Soon people with totally isolate us if we dont act fast. Needless to say we need others to survive. Cheers!

Though, it as been proven by warriors of old that there is something like that ODESHI, I almost witnessed sumtin like that back in 2012 during the nationwide protest about the Subsidy removal, when a guy called OKETE in Ona Ara LG was shot multiple times by the police but the bullets did not penetrate his body.

But all well and good Money Ritual as never paid off since it always end in TRAGIC for the person(s) involved in it, that's the reason why you will see herbalist that claims to make money ritual won't dare to venture into it.

I am privileged, as a result I had plenty of guys back in UNI. The bad guys odeshi no work. Even the our Anticult officer incharge of intelligence was shot...this is an ex Bakassi guy o, the thing penetrate die! He has a bad leg till date.
The person you saw may not have been hit by the bullet, its one thing to fire, its another to hit target dont let all this guys deceive you. If there is Odeshi our soldiers won't be dropping like flies from gun wounds.
