Tony Pulis has said it is ‘absolutely crazy’ to suggest West Bromwich Albion will be able to resist Manchester City’s approach for Jonny Evans if an ‘enormous’ bid comes in.

The West Brom head coach admitted that every player has a price but told City to up their offer significantly from an initial £18million, in a shift from the club’s stance that the 29-year-old is not for sale.

Pulis wants to keep Evans and said the Northern Ireland international is happy at the club, but is a major doubt for Saturday’s game at Burnley with the hamstring injury that kept him out of the season opener against Bournemouth.
