pleas what does the Bible mean when it says "poor in sprite"

Great I love those who value the word of God. The word poor is used to illustrate and represent sth. when someone is poor what do u notice how those he/she behave. they tend to be less boastful and less confident. they come down and do menial things. they have nothing to show off. they are not lofty. meek they are and patient. get the idea. In spirit cos he is not askin us to be poor but to have that attitude. Paul said using the weymouth translation" we being poor but we bestow wealth on many" .We are not necessary poor physically but in our attitude in spirit we behave poor. But again in other 4 a balanced view remember a xtian is not poor trying to be rich but he is rich trying not to be poor. some people are poor physically but are proud though. but for us we are asked to be humble meek lowly in saying "poor in spirit". Example a scripture says "though the LORD be high yet hath he respect for the lowly but the proud he knoweth afar of

Matthew 5:3
Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

It just simply refers to a humble, contrite, repentant heart, not poor as in terms of money.because some people will soon grab it now and begin to paste all over nairaland teaching christians to be poor.
