Processors are in clusters. The most power efficient clusters are A53, A72, and the more recent A73. Older clusters like A7, A53 etc are not power efficient. You should avoid phones with these type of processors (mostly in Snapdragon 810). Newer clusters in Snapdragon are the kryo cores are very power efficient even under intense load like gaming and browsing (used in the Snapdragon 820 and higher). However most mediatek processors use the less powerful but highly efficient A53 while most Snapdragon use the very powerful but less efficient Kryo cores. The choice is up to the user.

You obviously didn't read everything i wrote up there. If you have used both processors, you will know heat is different from warm. He even said he is sure . One more thing Snapdragon is more battery efficient than MTK. Lobatan.

For me as a power user, all I care about is how I can tweak my device to suit my taste and MTK help me do this perfectly.

It MTK for me. The newer ones also have better performance and efficiency

my dear stop lying here, I have not seen any s7 edge with snapdragon 821 chip, its only 820 not 21.

I still think MTK is good but Qualcomm Is far greater.
This is just like comparing Android and iPhone OS.IPhone has a remarkable reputation for better performance and smooth operation.

Android on the other hand is easier to tweak,open source and so on.
If only MTK had good devs,their processor would have been able to compete with snapdragon and the likes.But its all dependent on the skill of the OEMs.
Oneplus,Samsung and the likes have better developers than MTK OEMS, that's why we can't just compare both processors.

The truth be told Qualcomm produces better chips than mediatek because they produce and integrate their cpu and gpu (soc), but the New mtk Helio X and P series are playing catch up, check the xiaomi redmi note 4 review on gsm arena, one version uses SD 625 and the other MTK helio x20, after testing the performance of chips the MTK beats that of the SD in overall performance . U cant jst compare any chip against the other, there are categories, high end and low end chips for both

I always go for a midrange mtk device, use it for 18months and get another.
