Hello my fellow people!
I'm helping out a friend who wants to put on a show, long story short, I'd like to find an old/a traditional Nigerian work song. It doesn't have to be in English, but it should be a little on the easy side so that English-speaking people can learn it.
It will be used in a part of the show where African slaves would be journeying to slave auctions, to the Caribbean etc (if that bit of info helps).
Something chant-ish, call-and-answer, you know?
