Following the judgment of the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja on Thursday that sacked the Senator representing Rivers East Senatorial District, Sen.George Thompson Sekibo of the PDP and the declaration of Chief Andrew Uchendu of the APC as the winner of the rerun election and Senator-elect, all appear set for an event to celebrate the landmark Judgment.

The Appeal Court Judgments​ which seem to have resuscitated and resurrected the Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress have received wildfire celebration in different parts of the state.
As a way of celebrating the decisions of the Appeal Court and especially the victory of Chief Uchendu, party faithful, supporters and well-wishers of the victor are planning an intimidating welcome parade for the Senator-elect who is to arrive the state from Abuja through the Port Harcourt International Airport on Saturday 26th, August. 2017 by 12noon.

In what appears to be a direct plan to mock the sacked PDP Lawmaker, Suanu's Blog gathered that all APC Members and Supporters have been urged and mobilised to trooped to the airport on Saturday (today) with their Whistles and Brooms. The whistle is to disgrace Sen.Sekibo who many had referred to as the whistle-blowing senator following a drama he acted on the floor of the Senate during the Ikoyigate saga while supporting the claim of the state Governor, Nyesom Wike that the discovered money belonged to Rivers State Government. Ofcourse the broom is the symbol of the party.

Chief Andrew Uchendu is known as the Most Experienced and Longest Serving Legislator in Rivers State.
