Even though idemili north is cosmopolitan,many of the voters are non anambrarians and would leave the voting to the indigenes.again,am hearing that non indigenes are tilting towards nwoye camp.there is an unwritten agreenent that senator ekwunife would be running mate to whoever wins and she represented anaocha,njikoka and dunukofia fed seat for 8 years.shes very strong in njikoka and dunukofia.
If you look at the history of anambra guber polls,you will see that three factors matter:godfatherism,church politics and money.in 1999,chris uba enthroned chinwoke mbadinuju.in 2003,ngige was rigged in by the ubas again.peter obi was propped up and sponsored by the church to contest.late ojukwu and umeh played godfatherly role.peter obi in turn sponsored and rigged in obiano with federal support.even in the old ananbra,azikiwe was the major godfather.those factors would come to play in favour of nwoye.arthur eze,sir offor are behind him.he has the financial muscle to buy all the polling units.federal might to aid rigging also is in play.up apc.
