Passing by on the street of Maiduguri today, I saw a young man giving out new dresses to the disable less-privileged children (Almajiri's). I was amazed when I saw these singular act, that somebody who is not even a politician can do this to the disable Almajiri's so I walk up to the young man and I salute his courage that we still have hope this country called Nigeria.

When I saw the faces of these children beam with smiles and I said to myself "if this is how the rich & politicians treat the people, Nigeria would have been a better place without agitations"

This is what the government wants to keep the people perpetually poor.

Greedy elite. Useless country!

A tool would steal for himself. His children, his children's children and even steal for his dead parents.

Which kind country be this?

- What our leaders should do is to find a way to have these kids stay in school, not gift of clothes etc.
- What our leaders needs to do is to find a means of identifying these kids parents and empower them so that they can take care of their kids.
- What our leaders needs to do, in case they can't identify these kids parents, is to get foster parents / home for them and provide for their basic needs through the foster family.

That is where we need to be.

Don't mind the mumu OP, another publicity stunt.

Was passing by and saw them, you think you are talking to kids

Dude tell your useless brothers to stop giving out kids for marriages and keep one wife so there won't be useless Amajiris roaming the streets

It is not about politicians and the rich. Even ordinary middle class Nigerians can afford to do what that guy did, but they don't. You don't have to be ''rich'' or a politician, to care for your neighbour.

The guy might not be a politician yet. Buh this good will might be a subtle tactic to launch Into the political sphere. Trust Nigerians at your peril

Besides North has a lot of restructuring and reorientation, cos it's always a ticking time bomb to have so much almajiris who are jobless roaming the streets
