cummando:Vultures are scavengers that feed on dead rotten things...whats healthy about that? And why did they not advertise it so people know what they are buying? Some people eat vultures, it's a taboo in other cultures. 2 Likes |

All flesh is edible. I'm guessing we don't eat vultures because they're scavengers.,,, eat rotting things They eat dead animals in various stages of decay. Some fishes and other marine animals that we don't eat are scavengers, too, but I'm not sure which ones. Their meat is not poisonous to humans, as long as they have not ingested pesticides or poisons, and only in that case, would eating vulture meat be poisonous Vultures are scavengers which means they eat rotting things. Tibetan Burial ceremony .. signifies good when vulture feed on the corpse https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JisWrqwtIeo |

MICHEALADEX: Not that I encourage eating it .. but am just saying Vultures, as an example, fall into several categories. As consumers of carrion, they're forbidden to members of certain religions. They are also reported as being pretty vile tasting. Their eating habits makes them potential vectors for disease as well. Vultures are not, however, toxic in themselves as are several other birds....The only thing that would make an animal "inedible" is if it collected toxins in it's flesh. Even that does not always stop us from eating things....Throughout Africa, some villagers consume vulture meat daily .. Catfish are 'bottom-feeders', as well as lobsters and they aren't 'unclean.....The poison in one pufferfish is enough to wipe out 30 humans, and there’s no known antidote. Yet, many people eat it. Called fugu in Japan, the meat of the pufferfish is a highly prized dish that is prepared by specially trained, licensed chefs. so |
