So we all have read and confirmed the Ooni of Ife recently divorced his wife; thus returning her to thè single and searching status.
Now thè question buggling me is, if her relationship with thè monarch won't be a stigma on her when she wants to re-marry. We all know it's an abomination to lay with thè king's wife. If such happens, the reward is death.
But now that she's no longer the Olori, is she free to go with any man she desires without having any implication?

That is a fallacy.
I have laid with a King's wife and I didn't die.

Judging by the way traditional institutions and customs have been modernised it will not be surprising to see her get married again.

Can she? Of course she can be married.

Is there any repercussion? When/ if she ever marry again, we will know.

Sometimes what it traditionally believed to be true is false. Sometimes, you regret it when you go against tradition.

Was she completely divorced from her second husband? Let's start from there. This Ooni really brought shame and ridicule to that seat. No wonder Oba of Lagos snubbed him. He was acting like he had gone insane.

There are rituals done during marriage to consecrate the woman as a wife to king and restrict her. At the end of a marriage there are rituals done to release the bond and restrictions.

In old days Kings confiscate wives, divorced or not. What is shameful and ridiculous about that?

Extremely shameful act especially when they are not Yoruba's and the husband can bring disgrace and drag a whole Ooni to court. By the way a man that covets another's wife or takes advantage of his subjects always invites calamity and ridicule.

Im speaking in the general sense about what kings did in old days. The way kings confiscated women in past glories is morally equivalent to the way capitalist tax citizens in modern society.

I can tell you there are men today who would opt for keeping their earnings protected and away from government's prying eyes if the price to pay is the wife sitting next to them.
