See it this way; there is the eastern part of the South (South-East), the western part of the South (South-West) and the core South.

The South-East is easily referred to as the 'East', just as the South West is easily identified as the West. I don't know the teacher who taught you to believe unicorn exists by claiming the South-East is the 'real' South.

Delta, Edo, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Cross River do not share your concern. You should know that full well.
