I hope this man is not tactically telling us to forget restructuring.
if the entire south can insist that there won't be any election in 2019 except we restructure first then it can be achieved.

Oga, you left out your cows, goats and sheep.
Won't they have a say and vote too as usual way for the north?
Abi you never get them PVCs?
Lazy region so afraid of restructuring.
If it was the groundnut pyramid of old was sustaining the Nigerian economy, Restructuring would have happened decades ago.

He is just simply trying to say that the north holds the key to restructuring in terms of population!

The miserable man is telling us that the country can only be restructured on the terms of the North.

I am ashamed for this man's old age. Thinking that dividing Nigeria on the basis of religion just tells you that if these old people don't die and go, there will be no peace. Imagine arguing that the meeting had fewer Christians hence is it invalid. What of the traditionalist, what happens to him? It is sad to say, but the Northern religious bigotry is cardinal to the backwardness of Nigeria: from having children you can't possibly cater for, to brainwashing your populace with evil sentiment. There is no forward thinking among their elite. If not for the oil revenue in the south, they will have split from Nigeria long ago. If they were to be the oil rich region, they would have built a wall like Donald trump and banned southerners from entry.

no one of you up there , has understand what the man is saying. he says that, if Nigeria is been restructured today, since their region don't have oil to be looting, how is he going to be feeding his whole 83 children, since their livelihood depend on oil money.
Re: ... by kettykin: 11:23am On Sep 08, 2017
how much is his entire 83 children and himself contributing to Nigeria , Mr Parasite, you have gained so much from Nigeria and contributed absolutely nothing and you dont want those who contribute to have a say !

He sounds silly but he just said something that is the plain fact, unfortunately.
You want to know why they keep multiplying like rabbits? It's a game of numbers. With those numbers, they can afford to keep the rest of the country exactly where they want it. If the numbers aren't enough, they import foreigners who look like them to make up the shortfall.

This is precisely why we need restructuring. Making every state responsible for its own resources will force these people to be responsible for once in their lives, rather than sitting and waiting for Abuja allocations. This applies to everyone else.

We are more likely to reach our potentials for wealth as a country if we restructure.

This Hausa man has 19 children and certainly many wives, maybe 4. I know of a woman from SS who has 13 children - one single woman!
Re: ... by otosa(m): 12:37pm On Sep 08, 2017
I think this is the highest time for especially youths from the South to stand against this old people from the North because they have even brainwashed the youths over there that those youth also don't know what they are calling development. Meanwhile, one day this useless man will come out to come and contest for the seat of president and you know that politics is the game of numbers, tell me if only him could guarantee over 80 people from his own family not ward or local govt.how he wouldn't gain the seat and the moment he won, they would be telling u the seat of president is powerfull. The president that could not be able to teach his people how to stand on their own but other's people resources.

Are you justifying Mr. Tanko's overbloated family size with an exceptional case from the south? To be fair to Mr Tanko, the number of his family members can be considered conversative in relation to the commonplace practice in the north. More importantly, he is educated and apparently wealthy. So there is no chances of seeing his children on the street with bowl on their hands. It is no longer news that most northern Muslims breed like rabbit, without thought and concern on the welfare their children. Even the lone voice of Emir Sanusi -- relentlessly calling on the north to outlaw some old, established, and widespread cultural practices that are illogical -- has been ruthlessly silenced. Today, it is business as usual. Mr Tanko's boost of unproductive northern Nigeria population strength is what Dr John Danfulani referred to as 'giant social menace' because a mind blogging twelve million children are out of school in northern Nigeria. Indeed, if Mr. Tanko is truly an elder statesman as he claims to be, he is supposed to be sober and reflective on the level of wickedness and deprivations he and his likes have brought upon the north. And not to portray northern population as if it is a source of strength, and not a version of modern day slavery.

It is uniquely northern Nigeria malady to boost of an impoverished, longsuffering population that is grappling with all the deficiency of human index rating. It is all about politics and the strangulation of the people to achieve political objectives. But times have changed. It is something the old horse Tanko and his co-travellers have refused to accept. Nigeria must be restructured, and not on the terms of the north that takes prides in something that should ordinarily bring shame and reproach.

Large family size is not exclusive to the north. What is the average number of children per woman elsewhere in the country? Why don't you people link cultism, kidnappings, armed robberies rampant outside the north to population explosion in those parts?

I would have ignore your rather apologetic and illogical reply, however, the disingenuous, albeit subtle attempt, to create a completely false picture of the situation in northern Nigeria necessitated this brief reply. Northern Nigeria, though not accustomed to the vices you mentioned which are more common in the south, is one of the dangerous places to live in beginning from the 1930 Kano riot. When political independence was achieved in1960, the orgy for blood seemed have astronomically increased, manifesting in periodic outburst of killings and destruction of properties without any known government intervention to secure lives and properties. We have had series of crises, riots, and violence until the mother of destruction -- terrorism -- found a hospitable bode in the north. Today, the military is lampooning the infamous practice of parents selling off their daughters for terrorists related activities in your supposedly tranquil and peaceful north. Since marriage and child bearing have no restrictions whatsoever, the slaves dealing parents can almost certainly return to procreation after a successful transaction has taken place.
