A lot of people must have watched and read the scandalous movie and book respectively called The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. Crucify me if you have to but this book is insulting, insidious and morally bankrupt. The foreword of the book by the author reads:
“People have used The Secret to manifest their perfect homes, life partners, cars, jobs, and promotions, with many accounts of businesses being transformed within days of applying The Secret,”

Furthermore,
“There have been heart-warming stories of stressed relationships involving children being restored to harmony. Some of the most magnificent stories we have received have come from children using The Secret to attract what they want, including high grades and friends.”

In the movie, contributor Bob Proctor finally puts the "upid" in stupid. He said:
Why do you think that 1 percent of the population earns around 96 percent of all the money that’s being earned? Do you think that’s an accident? It’s designed that way. They understand something. They understand The Secret, and now you are being introduced to The Secret

Here are some of the insanity contained in the book/movie:
1. There is a conspiracy by rich, smart and intelligent people over the ages restricting public access to THE SECRET. (a magician never reveals his secret. . . eh?
2. The book+movie was based on the law of attraction which states that:
The law of attraction says that like attracts like, and when you think and feel what you want to attract on the inside, the law will use people, circumstances and events to magnetize what you want to you, and magnetize you to it.”
Wonderful! I personally dont have a problem with positive thinking, it has been proven through placebos, knowing you're being prayed for helping health slightly. All cool if you ask me but the part that intrigues me is that the movie/book goes on to say that even if you dont want something, never mention negators(not, wont etc) as you will be adding more energy to that statement and all of a sudden, the universe, previously smart enough to give a new hummer because you thought "hummer thoughts" can foolishly arrange to have your hummer if your thoughts go like: i dont want to crash my hummer.
Pheeew! Furthermore, according to Lisa Nichols, an advocate(i actually read and quote the following from a book by Richard Roeper),
the law of attraction doesn’t compute ‘don’t’ or ‘not’ or ‘no,’ or any other words of negation.”
As you speak words of negation, this is what the law of attraction
is receiving:
“I don’t want to spill something on this outfit.”
“I want to spill something on this outfit and I want to spill more
things.”
“I don’t want a bad haircut.”
“I want bad haircuts.”
“I don’t want to be delayed.”
“I want delays.”
“I don’t want to catch the flu.”
“I want to catch the flu and to catch more things.”

So on one level the law of attraction can grant your every wish—but on another level, the law of attraction is apparently dumber than a puppy. You have to spell things out in a specific, nonnegative way, or the universe won’t respond.

To make it worse, adherents to the techniques taught in "THE SECRET" who become successful and win the life lottery are often are easily convinced that they are tapping into an ancient secret oblivious to most people hence they have an edge when it was actually a mixture of hard work, perseverance, talent and being at the right place at the right time+doing the right thing(call it luck if you like).

For adherents of the so-called The Secret, if your belief in law of attraction is what you think is responsible for the good things you have or the nice things about you, then i think it is fairly safe to assume that all the mishaps in your lives such as accidents, demise of loved ones and so on were caused by your negative thoughts. Right?

Seriously guys, what do you make of the law of attraction?

I don't see anything you debunked here. You may have shot down the movie, the secret, which did lay it on a bit thick, but the law of attraction itself really does work.Perhaps not in the way the movie treated it which was way over the top.A lot of spiritual teachers have also stated that it is not quite as simple as the movie made it look, but that does not mean that the law itself is rubbish, just the interpretation of it.
Here is a video that better explains how the law works,
