There is already confirmations that Gionee M7 smartphone will be made official on September 25. This confirmation was done by Weibo.



Having known Gionee for its durability and battery strength, it’d be hard to rule out that the new device from Gionee might fall short of standard.

As seen in the images, phone might feature a near bezel-less display. This isn’t surprising as it has become a trend in smartphone companies this year.

Gathering information on specs from leaks previously done, the Gionee M7 smartphone is expected to run on Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box and support for a single-SIM slot.

The device sports a 6.0-inch display of 1080 x 2160 pixels with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is also powered by MediaTek’s Helio P30 SoC. It runs on RAM is 6GB with an internal memory of 64GB.

There is no news about the battery yet but looking into the M5 and M6 smartphone, the Gionee M7 battery should sure be a power device.

Looking into the camera department, the Gionee M7 is expected to sport a 16-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and flash support.

M7 looks to be a significant upgrade from its predecessor. With a screen that progressively big and more RAM to boot, it sure would be a solid device- let it not be mistaken for a flagship killer, though-

However, On the software side, if M7 doesn't improve on M6, then that might be it's letdown. Gionee's Android overlay isn't the prettiest there is -put it bluntly, it's awful-, and at a price range which Gionee would likely offer the M7, you are most definitely going to find tons of less-awful alternatives. sadly, going by how close its release date is alleged to be, I don't think there's any time left for an overhaul of the software.

And then there's the complaint of lack of software updates. Conclusively, M7 might just be a great phone haunted by the flaws of its previous predecessors.
