Our client is urgently in need of a Head chef/Kitchen Manager

Job Responsibiities:

- Cook all food;African and continental.
- Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food;Select and develop recipe.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers engaging in food preparation.
- Coordinate planning, budgeting and purchasing for all the food operations for the restaurant.
- Oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary services.
- Managing and motivating you team
- Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
- You will be require to ensure that all staff within the department are adequately trained and developed in line with company policy.
- Maintain updated and accurate costing and documentation of all dishes prepared and sold in the food and beverage department.
- Smooth running of the kitchen and will manage areas of Profit, stock, wastage control, Hygiene practices and training within the kitchen.
- You will actively guide and direct the work of chefs, cooks and other kitchen employees to ensure consistency of brand standards, service
behavior and a high level of performance and presentation.

Desired Qualification and Skills:
- Diploma/Degree in a catering Course with minimum of 5 years experience as a Chef.
- Must have a good knowledge of Nigerian and continental meal preparation.
- An excellent food preparation skill is highly required.
- Must be organised and pay attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work with a variety of people and have coping skills to handle difficult personalities, ranging from co-workers to customers.
- Must be able to delegate many kitchen tasks simultaneously.
