For 35 years, Anthony Enahoro, Afenifere, Ben Nwabueze, OPC, ọhaneze, MEND, MASSOB, Awolowo, and other reputable Nigerians tried and begged for restructuring, the north rebuffed them.

No body even took them serious. Nobody listened.

Then a little known rabble-rouser ran a pirate radio station from his matchbox room in Peckham. In three years he made the hitherto unfashionable and impossible thing central to our national politics.

Elrufai was in London yesterday talking restructuring.
They fought in Ondo in a meeting on restructuring, there is a Yoruba declaration.
Northern elders are shifting ground while pretending to grandstand.

You don’t have to agree with his style, I also don’t, but you must be one pretentious clown if you don’t acknowledge that Nnamdi Kanu, loathe or love him, has achieved what all those people and organizations have been fighting for over 35 years without success.

He did it in three years. The mass movement he inspired became a huge threat to the establishment. They had to take him out. Sadly, ethnic bịas and hate from those who accuse him (rightly too) won’t let folks see or acknowledge what this man has done.

The fire he lit up will definitely lead to something tangible happening this time. People aren’t ready to take no and platitudes for answers again.

This much you can concede to kanu without letting the hate you often accuse of him of get the better of you.

Dead or alive, the little rabble-rouser from Afara-ukwu Umuahia has secured his place in history.

In the final analysis, immortality isn’t how long you live. It is how long your name is remembered, and for good or bad, Kanu will be remembered for ages as the man that took aim at the very heart of the Nigerian political establishment and they rolled in the tanks to quell him.

That is something you must concede.

When history is made, the protagonists rarely know the consequences of the chain of events they unleashed.

But posterity will always remember.

Kanu has been many things to many people- uncouth, brash, hateful, obsessed, a charlatan, a clown, a messiah, a saviour, a fraud, etc. We can’t seem to agree. We must agree though that he has also been an agent of change.
Should the current fever on restructuring succeed, kanu should take credit for birthing it.

Atiku Abubakar.

From historical perspective, the hausa-fulanis have always see and exalted themselves as the owners of Nigeria(Read Ahmadu Bello's pre-independence speech) So anyone that tends to challange their hegemony is often seen as a threat.Atiku said the truth.

Looking for votes, ask GEJ, 90% of their votes wouldn't lead u anywhere. For me, der is nothing to credit to kanu, I don't see where he clamored for restructuring.

Nnamdi Kanu was calling for secession and killing Hausa-Fulani and Yoruba. He never once mentioned restructuring as one of his demands. In any case, I don't think you need guns and bullets if restructuring is all you want.

Kanu is dead. He was killed by federal troops on the day they laid siege on his father's house, and that was the end of Kanu's journey on earth.

The man loved publicity so much that there is no way he would have been able to stay silent for weeks after his house was raided by crack federal troops.

Simply put, Kanu is not speaking because he no longer exists. He has joined his ancestors, and is now worm bait, in a secret location that will only be identified YEARS from now.

Kanu was killed by those troops in a back room of his father's house, and his corpse was cut into pieces so that it could be taken out in several bags while the troops continued to fire into the air, to keep witnesses at bay while the dissected cadaver was removed for disposal later.

IPOB and their never-giving-up penchant for lies. I can bet you it's not the Atiku that we all know that wrote this. Probably an Emeka hiding under the cover of Atiku's current political campaigns to gain Igbo support wrote this.
Must you put Atiku's name before your article make sense?

I really don't understand, did Nnamdi Kanu ever advocate for the restructuring of Nigeria? I remember him calling Nigeria a zoo and other unprintable names. I remember him calling Yorubas and Hausa's dirty names. He even said it's referendum or no election in Anambra. When exactly did he call for restructuring of Nigeria?

It's only either the intellectually deprived or the great Hypocrite that will not agree to the fact that Restructuring was taken as the metaphor for breakup only because of Kanu's voice

Kanu and IPOB are the biggest reasons put foward by agitators if restructuring as ti why Nigeria should be restructured. There us actually no agitation for restructuring except word of mouth. The active agitation people could see was that of IPOB.

With IPOB proscribed, the call for restructuring has been weakend as there is no active agitation that can now be used as a case point for restructuring

Before Kanu there was Bokoharam, there was the Niger Delta militants, there was sharia in northern states and the call for restructuring predates ipob by many years. Not only that, Kanu was up to a couple of years back was an advocate for one Nigeria.

Nnamdi KANU never preached restructuring but his activities using the ipob platform has acted as a catalyst for Nigerians to begin to ask relevant questions on the existence of Nigeria where justice and equity reigns.
You may not like him but his type always bring the needed change. Things will never remain the same in Nigeria.
