Ever since yesterday that the executive governor of Ekiti state, His Excellency Governor Ayodele Fayose declared his intention to run for the upcoming presidential election, the comments oozing out as usual from all nook and crany of the country is nowhere near favourable to the governor.

It has been unending series of bashing and comments that already pronounced his incompetency to vai for the position. In fact to put it simple it is already a dead case on arrival.

Though Governor Fayose's case might not be different for this is how it has always been in the past, whenever a Nigerian politician wants to run for the seat of the president, the masses no longer believe that any good thing can come out from our politicians thereby affirming the fact that we have all been living in self denial in this country and we are just enduring everything as a matter of can't help.

This same reaction elicited when the incumbent president Buhari was seeking for the position.

Is it Rochas that would declare today that people will not scream? Or who again, or Ben Ayade or governor Ortom, Ganduje, Obiano, just name them.. .

This is a clear show of how deep corruption have eaten into the fabric of this country to a moribund state.

People only have the opportunity nationally to echo out their vote of no confidence whenever such declarations for presidential seat are made by these politicians.

Do we even still have hope in this country of getting transformed to 2nd world country or are we going to continue forever living in self denial, rumbling in our status quo or even retrogressing as a nation from 3rd world to fourth world?

Which way Nigeria?
